Lots of very obvious franchise answers *cough* the Hobbit *cough* but the one I was genuinely, animatedly, fuming at was Ready Player One.

Spielberg tries, but he can't actually put a soul into one of the most soulless works of "art" I have ever encountered. An utterly hollow experience.
fun question: what’s the maddest you’ve ever been leaving a movie theater? not necessarily worst movie you’ve seen, but the one that just pissed you off the most. mine is Batman v Superman

I maintain that the Hunley’s service to the Union should be recognised; it sank three times as much Confederate warships as Union ones. 😸

Anyway. So many of the big problems facing the world today are also ones where individual choices alone cannot make enough of a difference; the change needs to come from governments and corporations, and that needs individuals to join together and pressure them to change. This is one of those.

One of the more bizarre experiences as an archaeologist is to meet old finds you once dug up in long and hot days at the excavation behind glass in an air-conditioned museum exhibition.

All of a sudden, they'd become something special, sacred things almost: an exhibit.
