Having just finished ‘The Night Guest’, i couldn’t concur more about its literary chops. Brilliantly observed, uniquely constructed, existentially framed and flush with Hildur’s compelling prose. A truly banging read.
Last year I wrote a book in Icelandic, translated it to English and then rewrote it in English. That rewrite completely broke my brain but I did it, and now I am doing it AGAIN (new book) and I am very happy to tell you that this time around it's not completely breaking my brain, only crumbling it.

Update: Turns out my friend works there. It's an exhibition about how their former offices were flooded with seawater (hence the broken piano). She saw this photo and was like: "Oh, was that Uggi? We heard the barking."
So at least he has gotten his point across to management.
