Tomorrow is Bun Day in Iceland. I don't have a sweet tooth so I don't really eat them but around this time I still always think of Bun Day in 2013 when I had just had a baby and my husband came home from work WITHOUT A BUN FOR ME. I still haven't forgiven him and yes, post partum brains are weird.
Bun Day celebrates both tradition and new flavors
Bun Day, or Bolludagur, is celebrated tomorrow, February 16 and it has become one of Iceland’s foremost dessert days. It is no longer simply a day for traditional cream buns filled with jam and chocol...

Today’s walk was a good one in Uggi’s books

I just saw that they announced a sequel to Audrey Niffenegger’s The Time Traveller’s Wife!

No other book has ever made me cry as much. I’m talking about ugly, heaving sobs. My mom called me shortly afterwards and she thought someone had died, so I don’t know if I dare to read the sequel.

I would still come here to complain and whine about things because that's what social media is for. Oh and pet photos, obviously.
Hey artist/creator/writer/etc people: if tomorrow you were guaranteed a very comfortable living the rest of your life, how would that affect your relationship to social media?

You guys, The Everlasting by @alixeharrow.bsky.social is one of the best books I have read in recent years.

I'm gonna call it now and say that it's probably gonna win the Hugo for best novel.

Michael Dorn did DS9 to afford an airplane. Every time you watch Worf on DS9, he is thinking about airplanes.

idk how to rebuild society for this but i don't think people should be allowed to talk like this without it going very poorly for them
Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”
Nick Fuentes: “The number one political enemy in America is women. … They have to be imprisoned.”
