they are clearly trying to terrify everyone out of showing up to the No Kings protest and I simply do not think it is going to work

see you all there

Sen. Roger Marshall: "October 18 is when the protest gets here. This will be a Soros paid-for protest for his professional protesters. The agitators show up. We'll have to get the National Guard out. Hopefully it will be peaceful. I doubt it."

(Yes, there is a model available at the Denver Art Museum gift shop. Next time I’m down there — which may be a while — I’ll grab one. They’re not expensive.)

… I think so? I haven’t gone looking.

I do know there’s a 3D print model.

Oh, no disrespect even detected, it’s just such a silly and cool and weird thing that is part of Denver being low-key kind of weird and silly, but differently weird than Portland or Seattle.

The Crusades, the Thirty Years War, the English Civil War, the Wars of Spanish Succession and the St Bartholomew’s Day Massacre would like a pointed word with this numpty about “body count of crimes curable by forcible christianity”.

The bear was supposed to be earth tones, but looked cooler in Lapis. We also have a big red Lego looking thing & big dancers.

Why Blucifer is blue is a question for the ages, but I like the theory that it’s a tribute to low rider culture, a childhood pony, & an old legend about a blue stallion.

Blue Bears have a special meaning for Denver — It’s an art installation called “I See What You Mean” and it’s a 40 foot tall blue bear that peers into the Colorado Convention Center, with its paws and nose pressed up against the glass. Inspired by a pic of a real bear peering into a house up yonder.
A sculpture of a big blue bear peering into a glass-walled building. It’s about 40 feet tall, and its front paws rest on the glass.

And deep into his scammy roots. This is just selling something (he doesn’t own) to someone willing to pay, who flatters him. If anything, he’s reverting to the scumbag who got in bed with the mob to avoid paying Polish concrete workers.

Yep, Time’s Secrets. I’ve got two more chapters to get through, then clean it up. Goal is April.

But… that’s basically just a bio-based LLM who happens to have a tax burden.
czedwards.bsky.social
That’s probably a fair assessment.

It *can* be done, there are people who are able to shove 3 60-75K manuscripts every year, but they’re almost always re-writing the same book over and over. (There are some infamous Austen rewriters who were doing it before LLMs and then embraced them).

Nevada could’ve fined Elon Musk’s Boring Co. more than $3 million, but regulators are seeking a reduced penalty of $242,800, citing an “extraordinary number of violations.”

The Ghanaian Government is pleased to note that our refusal to accept Abrego Garcia has been duly acknowledged and complied with by the US
Department of Homeland Security.
We have also followed with satisfaction that DHS has today taken the appropriate steps to inform Garcia's lawyers and amend court submissions to reflect the fact that Ghana cannot be an option for Garcia's deportation.
The Mahama Administration will continue to be transparent and truthful to Ghanaians at all times.

DHS default is to lie about every encounter. Which is why they’re trying to criminalize recording them.
CHICAGO (WGN) - A WGN creative services department employee was detained by two
Border Patrol officers and later released after federal agents swarmed a busy intersection on Chicago's North Side Friday morning, at the height of rush hour.
WGN is not naming the employee, as station policy requires blurring faces and not identifying those who have not been charged with a crime.
Witnesses on site who captured the incident on video spoke to WGN about the moments leading up to the staffer's detainment. Thomas added that when he made his way down to the scene, around 8:30 Friday morning, he realized there was another person already detained inside the minivan being used by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
"I didn't get his name, although I asked for his name," Thomas said. "He didn't speak very good English. They claimed that the WGN employee was obstructing justice, even though she was, like all of us, just standing there, taking video.'

This baby died in Madagascar, but tear gas kills babies, kids, people with lung damage (like from Covid) and old people here, too. It also appears to cause spontaneous miscarriage and premature shedding of the endometrium (“weird periods”).

It’s a banned weapon of war for good reasons.

These guys have gotten incredibly rich by fleecing the government with subpar tech that was designed for rentseeking rather than performance. A smart Dem agenda item would be to build internal tech capacity. The fact that it would punish these guys is just a silver lining.

If Democrats said that Republicans refused to pay the troops in order to prevent the release of the Epstein files, Republicans would have to deny it. Just saying.

A few minutes ago in the House:

- Speaker Mike Johnson officially cancels votes next week, extending the House recess through a fourth week

- House Republicans block Democrats from passing a bill to pay the troops during the shutdown, ensuring they will miss paychecks next week
House Press Gallery: During today's pro forma session, the Clerk read a message from the Speaker designating Tuesday, October 14 through Sunday, October 19 as a district work period. Punchbowl's Briana Reilly: House gaveled in and out of its pro forma just now w/o recognizing Rep Elfreth, who was seeking to UC a mil pay bill from Rep Sykes.

Elfreth told reporters after that House Dems stand “ready and willing to take” up standalone legislation to pay troops.

Yet, our FDA head is worried about a millionaire athlete.

That poor guy.

I discuss these warped priorities and how they were used to manipulate the public here.👇
