Dr. King suffered many bouts of severe depression. His autopsy found that he had a heart consistent with a 60 year old. He was murdered at 39. Stress, threats and exhaustion will do that to a person.

Reality to contradict this dude’s delusion of gendered consequences of divorce. Not just in the UK. US Women who allege (and prove!) abuse in divorce are at least twice as likely to lose custody of the children, to the abuser.

Inland Empire and region, can you take in this darling cat in need of a new loving home?
We're still looking for someone in the Inland Empire area to adopt or foster this little tortoiseshell kitty. I'm willing to drive halfway to L.A. if anyone there wants to meet up to take her.
A neighbor was taken to a care facility, and her little tortoiseshell kitty was left behind. I can't take her in but I've been feeding her and giving her water every day. No one in the neighbor's family can take her in. Is there anyone in the Inland Empire area that could foster or adopt her?

I 100% always understand why folks don't want to support amazon & I never have an issue with it. However getting supplies rushed overnight to folks facing -29F wind chill b/c they're being terrorized by an invading militia is a balancing act.

MLK was only 39 when he was killed. Growing up, I thought that was old. But I’m 43 now and I’m stunned by the burden he shouldered at such a young age. I’m also a lot more aware of how hard it is, at any age, to carry the hopes and dreams of an oppressed people on your shoulders, as so many do.

yes, I’ve heard so many horror stories from non-American friends about the absolutely miserable process of getting a visa to visit, study, or work here. (And this was certainly the case well before 2024).
europeans showing americans a fraction of what most of the world experiences as opposed to the unparalleled freedom of travel being american gives you would instantly motivate people to act. all the senators' kids who are studying abroad, taking vacations, will be home & whining. motivation galore

Someone really should get Samantha Smith into a psych consult because she can’t tell the difference between fiction and reality, is confusing actors for their roles, and roles for historical figures, and seems very wedded to this delusion.
Personally if I was Anne Boleyn I’d be far more upset that someone made a musical about my head getting cut off

I know this will likely not apply to a lot of Minnesotans, but keep it in mind for when your turn comes: if you live in a community with professional management (apartments, townhouses, HOA), check your documents for Loitering policies.

If there were two of them it was below the declarable amount and it is perfectly legal to leave the country with it. From what DHS is saying here, they literally just robbed a couple of US Citizens bc they happened to be going to Somalia.
