Genuinely insane we are living in a world where the Danish have to deploy a battlegroup to protect themselves against America. Makes my blood turn molten, honestly

Correct. We need to burn it to the ground and salt the earth. Well spotted.

it’s not knowledge, it’s poorly digested word vomit of statistically possible words.

Advertising tried to tell us asbestos, leaded gasoline, mercurochrome, Fen-Phen, btc, and NFTs were necessary and revolutionary, too.
AI sits in billions of phones. Refusing to engage won't stop it, just leaves vulnerable people without knowledge. Demand ownership and control, not abstinence.

I'm so suspicious of everything that I don't buy this excuse. Some how the reason has to do with feeding the AI machines.

A good reminder that none of us will be free until all of us are free, and trying to climb over each other to get one step higher on the ladder is a fool's errand.

So to make this absolutely clear:

When a pastor takes on a role outside the church that harms immigrants in direct contradiction to Christ's teachings, it is HE who has profaned the church. It is HE who has destroyed the sacred. Not those who would call the church to account.

Had a lot of apologies when he started threatening Canada. Americans really need to get comfortable with the fact that it doesn't matter who they voted for, they, being American, are the villain to the rest of the world right now.

That leads you to some dark places.
It has been said before but stories like this are not a lesson in outreach efforts or messaging but a warning that universal enfranchisement may have been too far.

also, just a note:

It's real funny to see PROTESTANTS mad about a protest in a church
I'm seeing a lot of conservative Christians *really upset* that protestors (many people of color) interrupted a church service this week to protest that one of the pastors at the church is the acting field director for ICE in St. Paul. One of my older friends said it was profaning the sacred.

Mark Carney gave a remarkable speech in Davos today about the need for international law led by middle powers that applies to everyone.

The test will be whether he accepts Trump's invite to the "Gaza Peace Council," the most lawless disaster capitalism ever attempted and an attack on the UN.

Saw someone else make this point but it is worth repeating.

The same people who were storming state houses during the pandemic over having to carry vaccine cards seem to be perfectly fine with the government requiring you to carry proof of citizenship at all times now.

Nota Bene: southern Colorado is at least 48% Hispanic, with a higher percentage of Native peoples than in the rest of the state. The foundational non-Native culture was people noping out of Spanish-controlled Santa Fe in the 16th and 17th centuries.

And that’s who the Arkansas watershed serves.

So why are Dems ready to keep funding this monster, with a few "reforms"? Can an opposition meet the moment?

Do you ever think how if Trump has any loved ones - any at all - they would care for him in his decline, and not let him do this?

Not a single loved one. Damn.
Trump: "I should've gotten the Nobel Prize for each war, but I don't say that. I saved millions & millions of people. And don't let anybody tell you Norway doesn't control the shots, ok? It's in Norway. It's a joke. They lost such prestige. That's why I have such respect for what Maria did."

This is what’s so stupefying about Congressional leaders: Republicans, Schumer, Durbin, Jeffries.

My brothers and sisters. You are leading the U.S. Congress at a moment of INDESCRIBABLE world historic import.

Your faces and names will be plastered all over history books. How do you think you
We are watching one of the wildest things a nation-state has ever done: A superpower is committing suicide because the GOP Congress is too cowardly to stand up to the Mad King.

This is one of the wildest moments in all of geopolitics ever.
