My aunt burned the motors out of 3 hand mixers trying to make Divinity one year. After the 3rd, she tried to use a wooden spoon, and it hardened to concrete. She ended up, in frustration, throwing the entire bowl, including concrete Divinity, & the spoon into the side woods. AFAIK, it's still there.
