Update: Turns out the well-cast ElfQuest audio drama* is complete, & covers the first book.

I’m halfway through, and Amber Benson had me in tears as Nightfall, even though I knew all hope wasn’t lost for her & Redlance.

*officially termed an “audio movie”

Yes, you could do aerobic exercise. Or you could get really excited to discover a wonderfully produced ElfQuest audio drama—then realize a quarter-hour later that it was last updated in 2022, and stops after 10 episodes.

—Actually, daily walks might be healthier.

There’s a lot in there about toxic friendship, but it’s paired with desire and obsession in a way that I instantly recognized from having been a queer teen in similar (if slightly less gory) situations.

anyway, i started believing this about ART when i had a realization about DEATH. when someone we love trots to the next timeline, we become obsessed with their final moments as if they have more weight. if someone dies in a tragic way, we kind of let that start to define them. this bothers me

One of the things I love about fantasy books is that a character’s inner monologue can conclude, “By God and the kobold, I think I’ll do it!”

And reading it with the available context, you’re like, “yeah, that checks out.”

I go with one warm and one cool color.

Usually red and blue (sometimes green and orange), and I just alternate looking for objects of each color until I run out.
Has helped me manage a panic attack in afternoon traffic before!

If you like a little sweetness in your strong coffee-to-milk ratio drink, I'd like to advocate for the cortadito. A Cuban take on the cortado, it uses (heated) sweetened condensed milk.

(I live in Florida and have been spoiled by various Cuban coffees and coffee drinks.)
