Please 👃 if you're reporting news or ways for people to help to get help and you post either text or a graphic, add alt text.

There are many reasons that alt text is a necessary accommodation and it aids in searchability.

A ton of us need it.

In fact, QT and say "I need alt text" if you do.

Is this true? IS THIS TRUE???
😱😱😱😱😱
Marcel Proust, whose novel In Search of Lost Time is known for a scene in which the narrator dips a madeleine into a cup of tea, originally wrote the scene featuring tea and a slice of bread-and-butter. His editor persuaded him to change it. Proust's most famous scene was introduced by his editor.

This is brave. 😆
But seriously, can anyone help?
PS: love the sound of this book!
My next novel is likely to involve a social media influencer. Can anyone recommend some free podcasts or YouTube channels I can study to get a sense of how they communicate, that won't make me want to fill my ears with quick-drying cement?

We wrote about the positive outcomes yesterday, to thank all those who simply and categorically voted for inclusion.

Although there’s still so much work to be done, and policy decisions to be taken, well done to all who collectively pushed back on exclusion 🙏

Hampstead Ponds Consultation Shows Trans Exclusion Is NOT What Women Want
The results are in, and they're clear: 86% of respondents to the City of London consultation want Hampstead ponds to remain trans inclusive.

That’s pretty good life advice, IMO.

The Council of Europe votes by 2/3 majority to accept the resolution banning conversion practices, brought by UK MP @kateosbornemp.bsky.social.
#SexMatters and #AthenaForum tried their best to derail this resolution, but failed.
Huge well done to everybody involved 🙌🙌🙌

Can anyone find me that funny meme about translating the magical idea in your head into actual words on the page that features this picture of a polar bear with a bucket on its head? The first part of the meme was a beautiful picture of an epic helmeted warrior riding a polar bear.

Whaaaaaat?
Looking at that scheme in Ireland for paying creatives and we definitely need it here. They get €1300 a month (about £1130 / $1556) to live on so they can create work without worrying about bill payment and that's honestly a great idea.

This sounds like a great “meet cute” for a romance book, BTW
Went to pick up my books at the library. As I turned to leave, slipped on the marble floors and wiped out right there in front of a guy studying.

Classy. Better yet though, this is the book I came to retrieve.

"Seriously! You can start right now!"
