Delighted and horrified to discover that @METVToons is playing the The Cabbage Patch Kids First Christmas (1984) on 12/7. Yes, I'm watching.

Making classic collard greens with a smoked turkey wing thrown in for post-Thanksgiving and brought home turnip greens instead. 😬 #soclose

Only Yorgos could make a theme this bleak into something entertaining. Ditch the fam this year and go to the picture show instead.

Just to remind everybody that Pixabay allows you to filter out the AI generated bullshit, when you're out there looking for art/photos.

Closing out this Monday with a poetry party! Best way to end a Monday if you ask me. This tiny taste is from "Half Past a Monkey’s Ass", one of two poems by Jason Ryberg that you can find in our 91st edition. Check them out on Sunday, 11/30!

Well, the lip pencil didn't work.

How do people keep their lipstick on, dang it? One drink of coffee and it's all over the rim.

Shit, I'm out of grapes.

This opens me up to all manner of duck-related hijinks

I think I figured out why so many Midwesterners hate traffic circles: the implication we ever made a full stop at an intersection in the first place.

Anybody create a style in Word and as soon as you hit bullets or anything that isn't ENTER and everything goes wonky? Or when you try to go back to paragraphs the tab is wherever Word feels like putting it?

Naturally I'm using Microsoft365; I'm guessing that number is how often it works like shit

Slowly but surely, word of mouth for Train Dreams is spreading. Unlike many other films this prestige movie season, it returns to my thoughts regularly. It's a grower!

If a church doesn’t have a food pantry or a soup kitchen or a closet full of clothes and blankets open to the public or isn’t showing up at natural disasters to help, why does that church have a tax-exempt status?

Recently I stayed at Boone Tavern, a beautiful little hotel in Berea, KY. It's part of Berea College and largely run by the students in exchange for free tuition.
