There was a really sketchy store in the neighborhood where I lived in 2003 called "Pet Supplies Plus." We always joked that the "Plus" was the meth they sold out of the back room...which has made streaming service names amusing to me for years 😂

I gave it until chapter 8 to make sure I was giving it a fair chance, but it's awful. The characters are stilted and two-dimensional, and the men are toxic as fuck. Felt like I was reading an 80s Harlequin with how controlling they all were -- I didn't think people still wrote romances like that!

Whitelisted Dropout on the only extensions I have that I can imagine effecting video, and no dice. I will say that this only happens in Firefox and not Chrome, and I have had video playback issues with other sites that only happened on Firefox too...but it's always been more normal video issues.

I regret to report that 90% of my costume box is in bad shape and would not hold up to outdoor conditions. But I will persevere!

Everything I've heard about the "Friend" surveillance tool/cursed amulet clicked once I learned that the A.I.'s "personality" was designed after its creator: a 22-year-old rich white guy who thinks he's a genius. There isn't enough money in the world to pay me to hang out with one of those all day.
