Thanks, but are you sure? There’s another of my comments later in the film that always seems to elicit a reaction 😉

Jack Ciattarelli’s
paternal grandparents had immigrated to NJ in the 1900s from Valentano, Lazio, Italy.
So his own parents were granted birthright citizenship, no?
It never ceases to amaze me how people like Jack see no contradiction in condemning todays immigrants.

GOP gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli doesn’t believe in birthright citizenship.

So, he mustn’t want the votes of the tens of thousands of US-born adult children of undocumented immigrants in NJ — because he mustn’t believe they should have the right to vote at all.

Taking it all to the grave, honey. In fact, I’m so sick of this shit show, I’d like to hitch a ride with Diane Keaton.

💯 this! I knew exactly how & where I could hide up to 30 kids to protect them from a shooter in the library. Not only did I work in fear of a shooting, but dreading that it would happen during lunch, when 120+ kids would be there. And parents dared to call me a pornographer, pedophile & groomer.

The grooming accusations are even more offensive because of the epidemic of school shootings.

Every educator in this country has decided if, when, and how we'd give up our very lives to shield your children. Some of our colleagues around the nation have paid the ultimate price...

Bad news: I’m aware of a NJ principal trampling students’ right to read & retaliating against a librarian because of an LGBTQ+ book. Make sure the decision makers in your community know about the NJ Freedom to Read Act & remind them not to violate it. Summary here. @andrewzwicker.bsky.social

I’m so happy you saw it! Please share your experience with friends and family. Most importantly, please reach out to the librarians in your community and let them know they have your support should censors strike. @thelibrariansfilm.bsky.social

Good news: I just learned about a NJ library that convinced its mayor and library board not to dismantle an LGBT exhibit in response to “a complaint.” What made the difference? The NJ Freedom to Read Act, which prohibits censorship viewpoint discrimination. @andrewzwicker.bsky.social

Achievable. I’ve been itching to be a little old lady my old life. At nearly 6 feet, I’ll never be little (tho shrinking), but old is finally here, along with the “don’t give a damn” demeanor. Liberating!

Just picked up my hold at the library. No, it’s not my memoir 😉

It’s the centerpiece of an important scene that sets the historical context. How wonderful that several of the librarians were able to visit you at your humble establishment!
