The Imagination Center is one of my top priorities in 2026 because it’s an investment in one of the fastest growing parts of Madison. Libraries are the heartbeat of a healthy community. Every Madisonian deserves equal access to these important institutions.

Wisconsin spends about as much on homeless services as Madison does, and far less than Dane County. Despite multibillion dollar budget surpluses, the Legislature rejected again, without discussion, Gov. Evers’ request for $24 million to increase funding for homeless services at the state level.

ICYMI: we are officially re-opening Well 15. The well has been shut down since 2019 due to PFAS contamination. With the PFAS filtration system up and running, all measurable PFAS are being removed from the water and Well 15 can now safely be put back into the distribution system.

For the 52nd year in a row, Moody’s has assigned the Madison the highest possible bond rating. Madison is one of only a handful of Wisconsin communities with a Aaa rating on its general obligation debt. This allows the City to invest in important projects at the lowest cost to taxpayers.
