#OTD in 1999 the 6 year old was thrown off a 14th floor balcony in a Dalmarnock tower block and dies later in Glasgow Royal Infirmary 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

There were two fires in the flat set by his mother who survives with her 9 year old son, Ross. She is committed to hospital 🏥

His killer was hanged in Ayr at 7am #OTD in 1848. He repeatedly admitted and retracted his guilt and tried to commit suicide several times 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

After 15 mins prayer the local Provost shouted, "Do your duty, executioner" and the hangman, pulled the lever ⚖️

#OTD in 2012 Alesha Sarah MacPhail was born in Glasgow Royal Infirmary 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

She lived in Airdrie with her mother and younger sister and attended Chapelside School, which she loved. Her favourite activities were gymnastics and cake baking 🎂

On 21st of October 1966, 116 children and 28 adults were killed in the horrific Aberfan disaster, caused by the failure of the National Coal Board.

Today, we remember those who lost their lives and stand with the community of Aberfan now and always.

She wouldn't be released again, never was paroled and died after spending 37 years in prison ⚖️

#OTD in 1923 the paperboy’s killer was hanged inside Duke Street Prison, Glasgow just yards from where she was arrested 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

She had been convicted of murder becoming the first woman in Scotland to be hanged for 50 years and the last ever executed ⚖️

#OTD in 2006 the trial starts in Edinburgh of three men extradited from Pakistan accused of the horrific racially motivated murder of the teenager in March 2004 in Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The innocent student was stabbed multiple times, doused in petrol and set on fire.
