We will rerun the pass predictions for the upcoming #SSTV activity scheduled for 03/10/25 - 06/10/25 to see if this reboost of the #ISS has also affected the passes over the #GX4WAW clubhouse in #IO81qk

Check our website for updates probably from 02/10/2025

No, but we have some pedantic members that might!
in the past we have activated former Light Vessel 56 now the Cabot Cruising Club's base of operation in Bathurst Basin in Bristol as #GB0CCC

Sadly we can't do that this year but there should be a few hundred lighthouses being activated around the world

Oooh! More #ISS #HamRadio excitement

Much more specialised than the recent #SSTV activity there will be some people with the capability to receive the test signals and report so if you can please do
The installation of HamTV is on the ISS work schedule for next week. Successful completion could mean test transmissions going out beginning on Tuesday.

Check the graphic for more info.
We think at least one of our members has a certificate but they're keeping it under their hat having made their last Bluesky post on the subject of the Series 28 #SSTV event from the #ISS

For anyone else who took part and uploaded to the @arissintl.bsky.social gallery; final call for certificates
Reminder: If you would like a certificate from the Series 28 SSTV event, upload your images before 7:59 PM ET | 23:59 UTC tonight.

ariss-usa.org/ARISS_SSTV/ is the place to share!
Welcome to the ARISS SSTV Gallery

The ARISS Series 28 SSTV event is wrapping up. Thanks to the 3,300+ listeners across all continents that participated.

With the SSTV event finishing yesterday, the ARISS radios are back to "norminal" operation. Enjoy!
It is worth reading fully
Yesterday, ARISS-USA filed a petition to the FCC to deny AST & Science’s application to operate in the 430-440 MHz spectrum.

For the entire statement, read the PDF at the FCC website:

At least one of our members is still chasing images despite being on vacation

Check your ISS passes! There are just 24 more hours in the Series 28 SSTV event.

Listen in on 145.800 MHz for the transmissions. They are sent from the ISS on a two minutes on - two minutes off schedule.
Given that this authored or edited by the ARRL Handbook editor, it is probably going to have a USA bias. But it'll probably translate well enough to be of interest
📡 Ham Radio For Dummies shows why amateur radio is booming again—it's fun, reliable in emergencies, and can even reach the ISS! Perfect for new & curious hams.

We can confirm that at least one of our members has received #SSTV images from the #ISS this evening (Monday 14 July 2025) in IO81OK

Looking forward to more reception this week

Thank you @arissintl.bsky.social

The ARISS Series 28 SSTV event, featuring Soyuz-Apollo and STS-51-F memories is underway on 145.800 MHz FM.

The gallery is back up and ready to take your image decodes.

Remember, these transmissions are 2 minutes on and 2 minutes off.
Let's see how other members might fare...

So the good thing about this #SSTV activity period from the #ISS is that it is at a civilised time, the bad thing is that there's a lot more local noise than in the small hours of the morning

Not candidates for the @arissintl.bsky.social gallery but we're off and running

We caught the start time change in an earlier post and have already updated our IO81QK pass predictions at www.sbarc.co.uk/news/ariss-s...

We're trying to work one reception period into our current Foundation Course on Wednesday
I've just looked back at the original data and I'm not sure we have lost a pass, we might have put an early one in before the original start time in error

Have to say this is a more civilised timing (yes I know orbital trajectories are fixed) than the last activity period over IO81QK
