The ISS Ham Radio Status as of Saturday, 11-October:Columbus Module Radio: Configured as crossband repeater, Downlink: 437.800 MHz, Uplink: 145.990 MHz - PL 67 Hz.
Service Module Radio: Configured for Packet (APRS), Up & Downlink: 145.825 MHz.
HamTV: Active, transmitting blank AV signal, Downlink: 2395 MHz (2.395 GHz).
Outages (October 15-17): HamTV off Wed. 12:25 UTC (8:25 AM ET) until Fri. 13:00 UTC (9:00 AM ET).
Voice repeater and Packet (APRS) radios off Wed. 18:20 UTC (2:20 PM ET) to Fri. 08:20 UTC (4:20 AM ET). Packet radio TBD pending SSTV start.

Next SSTV Event: Scouting Jamboree On The Air, starts Fri. 17-October, runs until Monday. Expect interruption Sat. 18-October for UK contact. Timing subject to change.

SSTV Series 29 from the ISS was a busy one! More than 3,200 people submitting a total of 8,000+ decodes.

Get your decodes submitted by Sunday Morning to qualify for a certificate.

Then start planning for SSTV Series 30, planned to start on 17-October.
The Space Week SSTV Wednesday Update reports over 7,000 image submissions to the gallery, with a few hours left in the ARISS Series 29 - World Space Week series. This series includes 12 images using PD120 encoding, broadcast at 145.800 MHz worldwide. Submit your images for a certificate at ariss-usa.org/ARISS_SSTV/. The event ends around 10:00 UTC (6:00 AM Thursday), requiring only one submission for a certificate, though all decodes are welcome. Images must be original and submitted within 72 hours of the event's end. Certificates are not automated; check your status in the gallery and wait a few days before emailing about certificates, checking spam or promotions folders first.

Are you hearing voices in your head? The ops team also confirms there are some low level voices embedded in some of the image audio files. It doesn't appear to be impacting the images. They will be reviewing during their after-event session.

World Space Week is now officially underway and the ARISS SSTV event is into day 2!

Get out this weekend or early next week and capture some images from space. All the information you need is in the graphic below.
The Space Week SSTV Saturday Update reports nearly 1,000 image submissions to the gallery on day 1. The event features ARISS Series 29 - World Space Week with 12 images using PD120 encoding, broadcast at 145.800 MHz worldwide. Submit images for a certificate at ariss-usa.org/ARISS_SSTV/. The remaining schedule includes normal SSTV transmissions on Sat/Sun, a break for a New Jersey contact on Mon (13:30-17:00 UTC / 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM ET), normal transmissions on Tue/Wed, and an end by 10:00 UTC (6:00 AM ET) on Thu for a scheduled contact. Note that times may change due to spaceflight activities.

The Space Week SSTV Event is underway, with amateurs worldwide capturing images from initial passes today. The event features ARISS Series 29 with 12 images using PD120 encoding at 145.800 MHz. Submit your images for a certificate at ariss-usa.org/ARISS_SSTV/. Due to the 68th anniversary of Sputnik-1's launch on October 4, 1957, the event has been extended to October 9 with 6 new slides, hosted by the ARISS-Russia team on the ISS Russian Segment.
