Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.
It is so tempting, but you are right.

Empathy is a taught trait. That is one of the main ideas public school teachers embed in their daily lessons. The public school philosophy; produce self-reliant, responsible citizens. Many many school districts teach the Pillars of Character directly and indirectly. Public schools do GOOD WORK.

Adelita Grijalva now holds the record for longest delay between winng a special Congressional election and being sworn into office.

Why the delay from Mike Johnson?

Perhaps it's because Grijalva would cast the final vote needed to release the Epstein files.

You can't use SNAP FOR HAIR AND NAILS. You can't even buy soap, shampoo or laundry soap. Only food.
ROB SCHMITT: People are using SNAP benefits to get their nails done, to get their weaves and their hair. This is a really ugly program.

SEN. RON JOHNSON: That program needs to be dramatically reformed.
It’s certainly possible. For example, Steve Bannon plead guilty to felony fraud in New York court after being pardoned by Trump on federal charges for the same conduct.
Trump can pardon any or all of them for federal crimes.

Folks the short answer to why government is shut down: GOP holds White House, House, and Senate; refuses to compromise; does Trump's bidding; and doesn't care about the damage to our country or people's lives. End of story.

Nice photo. I love the tones in good black and white photography.
Every time I am asked to “sign” an electronic credit card device with my finger, I run it across the screen with an unintelligible scribble. Does Comer really believe that I don’t have to pay my credit card debt because I did not manually sign with a pen?

Even if the House was fully functional, they're in session for an avg of 147 days and out for 218.

Under Speaker Johnson, Congress has been in session only 12 of the last 97 days, and he still won't swear in Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva.

These are the people who demand Work Requirements.😐

A year ago, I launched my book #OnFreedom in a war zone – in Kharkiv, Ukraine, 35 seconds from Russian artillery. Today, I'm launching the paperback in Portland, Oregon. Which is NOT a war zone. There is a difference in the real world between what's a war and what is not, and between truth and lies.
Thanks for the smile. Good morning!

Why did Indiana University attack and cut its own student newspaper?

Well, in a twist of irony any English professor would call clichéd, it turns out IU did it because they were angry about the students' reporting on a FIRE report naming IU as the worst public university for free speech in the US.

They celebrate punching down. Gleeful when people in desperate circumstances get deported.

We can support border security and the law without getting off on the misery of others.
