#MotherMother Old Days post # 9: MM went through a time period, maybe 2015-ish, where they played a slowed down and moodier version of Hayloft in their live sets, a temporary departure from the high energy version of today. Can't imagine them going back to that, but it was a neat little experiment.

The Mother album was such a coveted item. This was before rare MM tracks were as commonly found online, and before communities like the MM discord that assists in sharing rarities such the Mother tracks (prior to Mother's re-release).

#MotherMother Old Days post # 8: The MM team ran a contest during the Sticks tour where each week one fan who attended the tour could win a copy of the original Mother album. We were floored at how generous this was.

Heard a popping noise under my tire even though I was driving slowly in a parking lot, and I was worried I hit something. Checked my car and there was a bit of a red substance and I assumed the worst, but still couldn't see what it was at first.

Also, their transition from The Stand into Body of Years had been glorious, though they continued that later even when they incorporated a cover song in the middle of Body of Years.

#MotherMother Old Days post # 7: I remember when MM would play Body of Years by itself, with no cover in the middle. It used to be their finale song around 2011. Perfect - I'd always pictured them starting their set with OMH and ending with Body of Years, and at my first show they did just that!

The song they'd planned to play was Oleander. I love Ball Cap, but I ended up seeing Ball Cap performed many times after that. I didn't properly get Oleander live until 2024.
