Curiously, that laptop audio jack was fully working again last night. I'll see if I can recreate the fault to better work out why it's happened.
I've only just noticed the apparent autocorrect from FLAC to FLAX!

when trans people take HRT to feel normal: “look at these depraved sex freaks performing their sick fetish in public, we should bully them out of existence”

when cis ppl take HRT so they can fuck real good:
While testing my headphones last night (turns out I have a laptop audio issue) I used a track that I knew had good stereo separation - Eve of the War by Jeff Wayne. I played the FLAX encoding and that's 64Mb - just wondering which of my computers was first able to handle a 64Mb file in memory?
I should have gone shopping today but was expecting something so waited & waited [It never happened]. Then had a training session. Only after that did the rain start, with the wind expected to climb overnight. Looks fowl tomorrow 🦆
I was only getting the right channel in my headphones during the earlier zoom session. Just checked cables etc and the common failure is my laptop's TRRS jack. I plugged in a Behringer USB sound card (just had it lying around) and all sounds good. Testing with Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds loud!
Not long finished a 2hr zoom training session - where do I apply to get that time back?
I've arrived at that point in life where a name badge is useful at events. Of course it could be said that I now have an easy aid when I can't remember my name?
I spent today working on the cover art for the book and have just penned a blog post on my books site to explain where I am:

1/🧵 I am viewing a never-before-seen file on “gender reassignment” or trans inclusion policy at the National Archives, Kew. The Supreme Court should start sweating. A bagful of receipts!
Just booked myself a ticket to a radio station reunion. I personally know several of the presenters so it shouldn't be boring!
I'm spending an hour or so sorting out next week's scheduling for @lv18radio.uk before returning to my open manuscript. Still aiming to get the next book out this month, somehow!
I checked the weather before heading out, it was dry (after a very damp few hours), so I dressed for a walk to the end of the street.

By the time I was on my way to the supermarket the rain had restarted. My pink woollen hoody wasn't great wet weather gear! Ho hum.
I needed bread, cherry tomatoes & lettuce this afternoon so elected to use the nearby 'corner' shop. None of those were in stock, but a delivery was in progress.

I opted to walk to the supermarket and got all 3, plus much more*. Oh well.

*Chocolate Hob Nobs are not a luxury, honest!

right wing bigots have admitted

- the “trans women in bathrooms” issue

- the “trans women in sports” issue and

- the “trans kids getting surgery” issue

were all MADE UP TO TAKE OUR RIGHTS AWAY

are you paying attention?
Almost at 200 Kindle pages for this manuscript, aiming for 300 min. At ~250 words/page that's another 25k words. If I keep up 2k words a day this won't take long!
I do believe my writing Mojo is back.

I picked up a 2 year old manuscript yesterday and have so far added 4k words of new stuff whilst removing redundant scenes. It's looking fresher and my raw samples have been received well by selected readers.

Good morning from a very cloudy Oxford.

We are here at Bonn Square, reporting live on the counterprotest against Let Women Speak that will begin at 12:00.
There's a fantastic cover (IMHO) by Donna Summer in an extended ~18 minute version "MacArthur Park (Suite)". For a 70s disco it's a must once the booze kicks in!
I made a start on today's writing but was interrupted soon after. I can name names!

Anyway, I have merged this manuscript with an earlier one (the previous story in the series) that hadn't yet been released on Kindle. Together they currently make ~40k words so I'll continue writing past 50k!
I've added 2k new words to the manuscript today, removed about 1k and edited another 2k. Net outcome is an increase of 1k to the current manuscript but I have a clear path now. Adding 2k a day is also doable, probably.

Aim is to release this before the end of the month!

Please please please reax this brilliant article by i paper journalist, Ian Dunt, about how the Equality and Human Rights Commission has actively and deliberately harmed trans people in the UK. There does seem to be more than a glimmer of hope though.
