All I can think of is unwarranted adulation. So much we can’t trust and don’t know. It saddens me that when such a positive thing happens, we have to wonder what is Trump getting in return.

Trump personally can’t claim any more credit than any president before him for the release of hostages. It’s teams of people working to secure these deals and negotiations. Presidents get more credit than deserved, both sides. Presidents are just glory takers.
