The way Partitio refers to himself as a merchant was/is super weird to me, until I remembered that there used to be an actual merchant class in Edo

The writing in Octopath Traveler II is so hauntingly/earnestly Square Enix, and I can't completely tell how seriously the writing is taking itself, so now I'm hanging out with my fruity, dramatic friend Hikaru, who hears voices sometimes and refuses to go to therapy
