again, nobody's forcing the term on those who find it objectionable. your original post did not imply "call yourself whatever you like", it implied "transsexual as a distinct identity is unproductive/unnecessary", which is a cissexist narrative i am none too fond of the idea of persisting within
okay we went from "i don't think it describes people's needs" to "don't call people words they don't like", which i've never opposed. who's going around calling other people transsexuals prescriptively? "AAHHH NO!!! I ONLY WANTED TO CHANGE MY GENDER!!" not a real scenario! transsexual is descriptive
for what purpose, exactly, is it necessary to re-invent the wheel in a considerably more unwieldy and long way simply to describe the very same things the words already describe? i would argue the term "medical transitioner" is even LESS effective at highlighting that my sex changed than transsexual
whether they personally like or use the term is immaterial, for it continues to describe them nonetheless. the fact that you use the term "gender affirming care" without feeling like you're being condescended to just by engaging with this framing is surprising to me! see diagram if confused

"Transgender", "gender confirmation surgery", "gender affirming healthcare" (honestly, the whole deal about keeping sex and gender separate and distinct) are all terms borne out of disgust and shame toward the fact that we change our sex
it does not meaningfully divide anyone, it simply describes people's needs.

hey guys i did it! i solved the discourse! does this mean we can use the word that describes us without getting talked over now? does this mean people will stop fabricating my beliefs to argue with shadows on the wall instead of what i'm actually saying? i sure hope so!
this is the kind of wisdom i follow you for
tell her to bring you to pho than brothers next time!! (edmonds or aurora locations specifically)

if you haven’t seen daria with the original audio restored you can’t call yourself a transsexual

jesus christ. i'm very sorry. death by boulder upon them
i think few people advocating for the use of the word transsexual do so as an exclusionary measure. labels that don't include all trans people don't inherently imply others aren't trans. "transsexuals are most harmed by lack of healthcare, so NO ONE ELSE should have it!" is a fake opinion no one has
well i don't think anyone was surprised
you simply cannot be a real person. you are an illusion cast by the most insidious of wizards
it's really just that simple. it's not like anything costs money
they're so similar that they're basically the same game lmao. 2e just needlessly elaborates on every mechanic to the degree that rules are hard to memorize
in practice i'm with you, 90% of the games i've run have been in my own settings, but dark sun is a favourite of mine for ad&d 2e. i highly recommend downloading some pdfs or acquiring the books if you have the means. it's such a fun setting to run and play and read about (prism pentad books also!)
do you have any dark sun books? i got the expanded & revised set for like 120 dollars a while back and it's borderline therapeutic to read through them all. tembo, my beloved....
to describe myself....... curses.......
every reason to hate a gacha game is a valid reason
i am enthusiastically in support of the reclamation of this word, and use only transsexual describe myself, in lieu of "transgender". transsexual describes a change in sex having occurred, something which i feel is VERY important to emphasize to cis people for a litany of reasons!
