So while Trump loyalists hand out red MAGA hats in Tel Aviv, remember: Trump has repeatedly claimed he has the power to stop Israel from doing things he opposes.

#r4today The US political class possess an astonishing lack of self-awareness. The idea that Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize is absurd - he brokered a ceasefire only when it suited his political interests and benefited a genocidal regime, despite having ample leverage to intervene much earlier.

In the current climate of far right hostility, Jenrick is actively inciting violence against these judges with this. Badenoch may have defended his explicit racism yesterday, but this alone should see him lose both his position as shadow justice secretary and the whip immediately.

Someone needs to remind our Prime Minister that dissent is democratic and genocide is particularly worthy of protest.

People protesting Israel’s genocide understand the magnitude of American imperialism and its intrinsic link to broader patterns of systemic violence and oppression.

Notice that the Rabbi didn’t say anything about dead Palestinians? She spoke about the victims of October 7 and the Manchester terrorist attack - but nothing about dead Palestinians because they don’t matter.

Their lives are considered disposable because of Hamas.

also, in keeping with Vance’s view of american identity, only white people are fully American with the right to critique or dissent. nonwhites must show proper gratitude (supporting Trump or marrying JD Vance) before they can speak critically of the country (in approved ways, of course)

Weaponized gratitude is a key tool in the abuser's toolkit. The goal is to convince the victim that they owe the abuser so much, they should feel guilty for wanting to complain.
