Alongside many campaigners, the Green Party have absolutely dragged the Labour Government to finally end the child cap.

Labour politicians disgracefully defended it for far too long.

This shows why the Green Party membership rising and rising matters.

Pros:
The two child benefit cap.
Mansion tax - although not sufficient.
Cons:
Frozen fuel duty ( so going down in real terms).
Higher road charging for fully electric vehicles over hybrid vehicles. No mention of the cost of bureaucracy.
Frozen tax threshold until 2931 ( too regressive).

Reeves damascene conversion to the two child benefit limit is welcome, but kudos must go to those both within and without the Labour Party for bringing that change.

Quite ridiculous that Reeves can use Parliamentary privilege to make a personal attack on the Green Party leader.

When people excuse behaviour as 'banter' it means that the behaviour is/was unacceptable.

This is the reality of Labour’s hateful immigration proposals. People who have already fled fear and persecution, now living in constant fear of persecution
As many of you know, I do a lot of volunteer work with asylum seekers and refugees. One thing that’s going on is that Labour’s hostility towards migrants and the counterbattery from Tories and Reform is causing horrific fear and anxiety among vulnerable people who deserve our protection.

I find it a bit rich for the CBI to moan about the burden on business, when many of its members pay wages so low that individuals have to claim UC. It is employers that are subsidised everytime an individual has to claim in work benefits.

So according to the guidance 'trans' women can be banned from single sex spaces if a business decides they don't look like women. Tell me what happens to CIS women who don't conform to stereotypes of what women look like? Will there be genitalia inspections? How does that 'protect' women?

Six pro-Palestine prisoners are on hunger strike across UK prisons.
Their demands: the right to a fair trial, freedom from censorship, and the deproscription of Palestine Action.

They’re being punished for standing against genocide.
Their struggle is one of conscience — and solidarity. 🇵🇸
