Two weeks ago @zackpolanski.bsky.social went to Palantir's London HQ to tell the US spyware company to get the hell out of the NHS.

Zack has now written to Wes Streeting urging him to end Palantir's NHS contract, citing links between Mandelson, his lobbying firm, and Palantir.

I will always be sad that I departed from Monkey Cage but the relief I feel about being able to speak out about abusers and bigots without expecting a phone call upbraiding or questioning me is a relief - so much anxiety expelled
Starmer gets worse every day - this apology is no good at all - Mandelson took up Epstein’s hospitality while he was serving time for child trafficking - this was well known - see also Zak Polanski’s letter to Wes Streeting #epstein #starmer #mandelson #greenparty

Mandelson’s malign influence runs right through the heart of this Government.

Not least in the govt’s NHS data deal with Palantir – a spy-tech firm co-founded by a man who thinks the NHS should be ‘ripped up.’

I've written to Wes Streeting urging him to ditch this dangerous deal.

Has this programme covered that Mandelson was given the list of prospective Labour candidates for 2024 election to review. That kind of explains the bonkers decision is Chingford and Woodford Green

When she banned Palestine Action, Yvette Cooper assured us there was evidence, and pending court cases, of PA's "violent terrorism". Yet the court found them not guilty.

So what's the government's justification for continuing this persecution?

The hypocrisy of BBC journalists is boundless. The same people questioning Mandelson’s appointment as Ambassador invited him to comment on Trump at Davos and the Greenland takeover bid—despite his sacking as UK ambassador and further revelations from the Epstein files.

Labour MPs really need to stop pretending that Mandelson lied to the country—he didn’t. He lied to those tasked with vetting him and to a PM enthralled by his reputation.

Anyone familiar with his career trajectory could have predicted that appointment would be a disaster. #r4today

It was the Home Office that organised taxis for asylum seekers to travel to appointments across the country. It is shameful for the government to suggest, by omission, that this was some sort of encouraging perk.

Can we have @jessphillipsmp.bsky.social tell us how knowing, someone you are going to appoint as US Ambassador, maintained a friendship with a convicted sex offender is consistent with the government's strategy on tackling violence against women and girls?

The PM has said he new about Mandelson's continued friendship with convicted sex offender Epstein. Yet simultaneously he said his government was serious about tackling violence against women and girls. This is at best inconsistent.

Epstein wasn’t a “bad apple”
He didn’t “slip through the cracks”
He was the logical outcome of systems designed to protect rich, powerful men & discipline the rest.
Prisons didn’t stop him. Policing didn’t stop him. The state didn’t stop him.
He was protected & enabled by institutions of power.

The Epstein files show it's a thoroughly rotten system that treats people as resources to be owned and used.
This is the ruling class of capitalism as it's always been. It's not just the moral failings of a few individuals who just need replacing with good guys. The system creates these people.
