Nick Robinson doesn't seem to understand that we pay taxes in order to redistribute within our society. His Tory Party prefers to give taxes to mates for corrupt contracts. Labour prefer to at least try to give to people who actually need help. #r4today

Badenoch's speech wasn't "powerful" as Nick Robinson calls it. It was bullying condescension which was completely unjustified given she was part of the last government's disasterous mismanagement of the economy.

I've done jury service twice twenty years apart. Looked to me as though there was a marked decline in the ability of the CPS to prepare adequately for a case so there's a reasonable chance of conviction. #r4today

How can the Tory leader of Epping Forest council claim that council tax payers won't be paying for their appeal against the Bell Hotel being used as an asylum seekers hostel when they're going to use council reserves? What happens when they lose and the reserves are empty? #r4today

Is anyone going to explain to the budget commentators on #r4today that increasing wages for lower paid people stimulates growth because they have more to spend. Conversely rich people struggle to find yet more stuff to buy so they just sit on their wealth, not good for growth.

Did anyone else understand that piece about tax on pensions that seems to apply particularly to high earners and is seen as a threat that Rachel Reeves might unleash in the budget. Is it another story like the removal of charity status for private schools? #r4today

Lord Frost is anti lockdowns, but to do that successfully requires robust test and trace systems. His govt gave £37bn of our money to their mate Dido Harding to fail at. Local councils had to step in to rescue it from total failure. #r4today

The problem is Evan that no one knows for sure who's more vulnerable to Covid, so the lock down vulnerable people and let it rip plan leads to lots more deaths and Long Covid. #bbcpm

I have no medical training but it was perfectly obvious to me 3 weeks before the official lockdown that, as I was on immunosuppressants and my work route was via King's Cross, I should stay at home. I was lucky to have that option. The govt was negligent. #bbcpm
