If only they'd believed anyone who has worked in local government in the past 20 years who said you can't run the same services with 50% cuts.

No, of course not. And she's saying Streeting would be a good candidate because she knows he's tainted by the Mandelson connection and the Sun would use that as soon as he's nominated.

Apparently it was 62 seconds long, but Trump couldn't get to the end of it. That makes him either a) a liar and a racist or b) someone with severe cognitive impairment making him unfit for office. Or all three. #r4today

Tough decision for Rachel Reeves - bail out a Reform council by £71m or let them raise council tax by 10%. Should take her all of 30 seconds to choose the latter! #r4today

How long was the video that Trump supposedly lost the will to get to the end of? #r4today

Haven't listened to that yet. Will do.

Have you listened to Strong Message Here this week? Emily Maitlis as the guest discussing Mandelson, the Epstein files - and Dickens!

Yes, I see your points too.

It's all such a mess for Labour. Meanwhile Trump's involvement with Epstein in those files are unlikely to be revealed until after his death/the end of his term. #r4today

That idea works until you remember that Mandelson represented a Labour govt and that it's a Republican govt releasing the Epstein files.

Look how easy it was to endanger a Labour govt and make it easier for Trump's favoured party Reform to get to power.

Were Labour that naive? Maybe.

I found that slightly shocking. As a staunch republican I'm trying not to be optimistic about it! #wato

Nope, she doesn't do numbers. There were bizarre moments, like when she interviewed a young Reform councillor sitting next to his grandmother who wasn't a Reform supporter, but I always think Kuenssberg missed her vocation as a gossip columnist. #r4today

Prioritising their mates - just like the Tories. #r4today
