It's great to meet all theses amazing new people. I thought I would introduce myself with a little thread. I’m a Green Party activist and a Patient safety manager in the NHS. I’m married and we have two miniature schnauzers! I’m here mostly to chat about politics.

On 2023 members voted to change longstanding opposition to NATO to a "remaining and reform" position.

People who were Labour members (that has always been a hard-core pro NATO) seem to have suddenly decided it is a red line now.

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

For example Hackney is up and we just delivered (weekend before last) 97 thousands leaflets to residents. Labour has no volunteers any more. They are spent.
edpoole1975.bsky.social
Yes in May just the London locals are over a thousands council seats.

I agree the Green Party is not strong in the midlands at the moment. But we came second in these constituencies in 2024 and it's only getting better.
edpoole1975.bsky.social
Greens came second in most of North and East London and large sections of Liverpool and Manchester.

That was with 80% less members, almost zero campaigning in those areas and a much lower national profile.

There was a time when I would save good videos from political figures. But Zack just has banger after banger. Two or three a week sometimes.

I'm a woman, and i'm not in the least intimidated by this. I think the Right Horrible Secretary of State is confusing a bunch of transphobes with the majority of inclusive feminist women.
helenm40.bsky.social
Oh do fuck off Wes Streeting.

It's not designed to intimidate women, it's designed to protest transphobia.

If I protest against racist scum, that's not me 'intimidating men', it's disagreeing with racism.

I am sick to fucking death him pretending that transphobe and woman are synonyms.
edpoole1975.bsky.social
That's because of where most elections have been since 2024. In May most seats are Labour at the moment. Lib dems are nowhere in most of them.
edpoole1975.bsky.social
The only way is fine if you're awful. But no spin will be needed. It's going to an incredibly bad bad for Labour.
edpoole1975.bsky.social
The Green Party is socialist. We have been too shy about it in the past. Not any more.

400,000 cars rumble past my home every month. The only peace I has was during the Pandemic. Lorries regularly shake the building as they fly down the road in the early hours.

Leader of the Greens, @zackpolanski.bsky.social, is right that the richest could and should contribute more, while still remaining well off. Also, that they can't pick up and move the land they own: wealth flight is exaggerated.
Britain can be, and must become, fairer.

Former Head of Comms for the IEA, Annabel Denham, says the super rich will leave if we have a wealth tax.

Yes, the very same IEA that brought us Liz Truss’ disastrous mini budget. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Green Party leader Zack Polanski explains that their taxable assets can’t leave. #bbcqt

And the Greens will replace Labour.

It is embarassing not to see the BBC pulling up Reform leaders claiming that Nathan Gill was just some fan who got photos taken with Farage - he was an MEP for them & their leader in Wales while taking cash from Russia to act against the UK! Literally the very basics of your job to point this out

edpoole1975.bsky.social
We'll see in May won't we when Labour loses hundreds of council seats.
edpoole1975.bsky.social
They haven't cleared up any Tory shit. They have piled more Tory shit on top of it.
Labour don't own voters. We'll be over taking Labour in the polls soon. The Greens are the party that can take on Reform. Labour are the party doing everything they can to hand them number 10.
edpoole1975.bsky.social
Labour can't beat Reform. They are demonstrating this again and again in local elections. It's time they started standing down and stopped splitting the anti Reform vote
