People are hurting, this budget needs to be there for working people and those with less.

We need to look at a #WealthTax.

😡 Fresh Birmingham agency bin worker bullying revealed

The public ranking of the drivers’ tachograph infringements is just another bullying tactic, along with blacklisting threats, to keep them in line.

The biggest question in tomorrow's budget is: 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙮𝙨?

For too long, workers and communities have paid. This needs to change!

BUDGET 2026 | Workers and communities cannot continue to pay the price!

Everyday people paid for:

😡 2008 financial crash & austerity.

😡Covid, some of them with their lives.

💡 Why can't we simply tax the richest 1%, 1% more? Black hole gone! 📽️⤵️

This weeks #Budget2026

Labour must not go back to workers and communities and make them pay again. They must show whose side they are on. #WealthTax

Rachel Reeve's budget must see a change to the fiscal rules so that we can borrow to invest and Labour must introduce a wealth tax.

Driver fatigue is a major safety issue for both our members and passengers, but Metrolink management is not taking this seriously.

They are guilty of not acting on our member’s concerns. It can’t ignore this issue any longer.

👫🟰EQUAL PAY DAY

In this day and age it is utterly wrong that women are still paid less than their male colleagues.

If the government is serious about boosting productivity and driving economic growth, it must address and implement @unitetheunion.bsky.social's demands. 1/2 ⤵️

📢 BIRMINGHAM BINS

Residents take action in Shabana Mahmood's constituency 📸🪧

Government ministers and @bhamcitycouncil.bsky.social councillors need to step in and ensure a fair deal for all Birmingham bin workers – which is the only way strikes will come to an end! #Birmingham #Bins

⚡️ ENERGY PRICE CAP

There is no comfort in today’s announcement for the millions of people struggling to heat their homes this winter.

@unitetheunion.bsky.social has shown that £500 of every energy bill goes straight to energy company profits. #PublicOwnership 1/2 ⤵️

🗑️ Birmingham bin strike: Shabana Mahmood community event.

The support of the local community for bin workers is overwhelming. @bhamcitycouncil.bsky.social and local MPs need to wake up and realise residents are backing the workers, return to negotiations and make a decent offer to workers. 👇

👆INFLATION FIGURES

Today’s figures will bring no comfort to the millions of families having to choose between heating and eating this winter. Food prices are going through the roof, with many essentials now costing a quarter more than they did three years ago and still rising. 1/2

Agency and directly employed workers alike in @bhamcitycouncil.bsky.social's refuse service have @unitetheunion.bsky.social's complete and utter support.

Birmingham council is spending a fortune it doesn’t have on a dispute that could easily be resolved by agreeing a fair deal for workers.

📢 STRIKE | Turners’ tanker drivers

Turners is directly responsible for any fuel supply shocks that will happen to airlines operating to and from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports. Our members will not accept a massive real terms pay cut from an extremely profitable company.

Solidarity to @unitetheunion.bsky.social members at Aer Lingus who are taking industrial action.

Unite’s members at Village Hotels in Glasgow are fighting for decency, fairness and equality in the workplace. Village Hotels are refusing to pay all its workers the real living wage, an incredibly wealthy business refusing to pay low paid workers what they deserve. That is shameful & unacceptable.
