The UK is losing up to £250m a day in lost tax revenue due to the economic impact of Brexit, House of Commons Library analysis for the Lib Dems suggests.

Brexit has blown a "black hole of [up to] £90 billion a year in the public finances" the party says. Even under lower estimates the hit is ~£65bn

Yesterday I had lunch with a family who came here from Syria during the civil war and now have citizenship

It was so uplifting to see how they're flourishing and to hear about their admiration for our country

Farage can now be easily boxed in to a corner where his only ‘defence’ becomes: “Yes I spouted Kremlin propaganda & Putin worship but, unlike Nathan Gill, I didn’t need bribes to do it.”
It is, once again, a question of whether interviewers have the temerity to shut down his whining obfuscations.

Never bothered before (seems futile), but I've complained, so might be worth considering.

Listening to my old sparring partner Michael Gove defending the record on Covid of the Govt of which he was a part, while Justin Webb feeds him pathetic patsy questions.
Let’s be clear: the verdict of the official Covid report is absolutely damning.

Incredible that the main interview following up on Hallett's report is with Michael Gove, following an earlier one with Carl Hennigan

These people were responsible for the tragedy and in no way reflect the findings of the report or what we, as citizens, think about how our government performed
Having Johnson & Cummings in Downing Street when Covid struck was, just like Brexit, an entirely avoidable disaster caused largely by utterly appalling journalism. And now exactly the same clowns, arses & bigots with bylines are rolling out the red carpet for Farage.

I don't think many of us will be surprised by the conclusions of this part of the Covid enquiry:

The government was unprepared and responded ineptly and this may have resulted in 23,000 unnecessary deaths

It's so important that we work together with the EU to protect our climate - and nature too!
The UK has fallen behind the EU on climate policies, but cooperating with the EU could achieve cheaper bills, healthier communities, and a thriving natural world. YouGov polling for @bestforbritain.org shows that most people intending or considering a vote for Reform are in favour of a wealth tax - which is Green Party policy

Nigel Farage & Richard Tice are, of course, vehemently opposed to taxing the ultra-rich whose interests they represent.
