Who allowed this abomination?

The Shooting Times, never knowingly telling the truth!
simonrtucker.bsky.social
Not exactly renowned for truthfulness are they?

Apparently Suffolk is awash with them. I cannot pretend I have seen more than one in my north Wiltshire garden this morning!

Mine had disappeared for a couple of weeks, got a bit worried but the food was gone this morning. Trail camera out tonight, fingers crossed. Afraid I can't get to Norfolk

They could always try reducing the numbers released to the number they actually intend to eat, i.e. about 5% of the current figures (I admit it, made up statistic but, then, when it comes to the shooting industry they do that all the time so they can't complain too much)

Hard to find a more accurate, succinct summary of the Reform Party.

British politics is basically a doom spiral of increasingly unhinged hostile policies.

Reform says something unhinged
⬇️
Labour counters with their own unhinged policy
⬇️
Tories shout from back they'll be even more unhinged
⬇️
Reform announces different unhinged proposal in response
⬇️
And repeat...🔁

If most of the politicians were (multiple times) it might improve things. Can anyone really see any difference between Labour, Tories and Reform? Same policies, same racism, same protection for the already wealthy, same lack of care for the majority.

Absolutely abominable and, unfortunately, he is young enough for this hypocrisy to go on for decades. We need a republic (just so long as we don't end up with a Trump equivalent).
simonrtucker.bsky.social
I think it is the "they walk amongst us" nonsense - although with Trump et al they could be right!

Perhaps they could translocate those chicks into suitable woodland / forest habitat (or just leave them alone)? We are beginning to see them in woodland areas of north Wiltshire, as they have spread across from Gloucestershire where there is a healthy population, but there's a long way to go.

who runs Operation Turtle Dove and what are their qualifications?

I think the @rspb.bsky.social are being far too polite. Still, be interesting to know what the @nfudc.bsky.social say. No doubt blame it on foxes, badgers, Corvids etc. rather than the failure of their members to take conservation seriously, unlike @nffn.bsky.social

Funny how the shooting estates have been trumpeting their "success" over recent years yet none of those successes seem to have lived long enough to breed. If their claims were valid there should be over 100 nesting pairs by now - but shooting, poisoning, trapping ensures this false flag keeps flying
