My friend was about to respond to one of these out of desperation. I said girl ain’t nobody texting you about a job. If anything, they’ll email or call and actually introduce themselves and have a valid email signature with their company website. Look at the phone number!!

It’s for that reason that I may adopt a child or foster or both. We need it desperately. They take our kids at higher rates but then our kids just sit waiting for families that never come. It’s a vicious cycle

or put in safe homes. They get looked over and passed over more than yt children. So I prefer to celebrate the ones who do find happy, healthy homes, rather than shit on them for being a yt home. They did what others weren’t willing to do. As long as that child is truly safe and loved…

I understand the concern black folks have when yt folks foster and adopt black children, however, be the solution. There aren’t enough foster families in general and the amount of black foster families is even less. Our children make up a HUGE portion of foster kids who never get adopted…
