Got a pile of expansion parts for these, and aranged them in a bit more pleasing layout. I'm thinking they can really profit form a simple zenithal spray and paint wash to bring out some details.

Last night I played a game of 40K against a very colourful Necrons army. I had a great time, and managed to secure a rare win for the Steel Legion! The Mechanised Assault detachment is really good if you have the CP to make it work, definitely my favourite Imperial Guard det for 10th Ed.

Two heavy lascannons, in the colours of the Steel Legion, covering a long street in a ruined city as tanks move up either side.

A Leman Russ Demolisher shoots a C'tan shard with everything it has, then finishes off the remaining three wounds with a tank shock.

Two Vulture gunships arrive and begin an attack run along the board.

An Armoured Fist Squad moves up, supported by a Leman Russ Executioner.

In the Lysander sector last night - the T'au, battered from the Battle of the Eventide, try to sneak a key commander past the Imperial blockade, only to be beset by unexpected Ork pirates. A desperate and chaotic battle ensued, and though many T'au escaped, the Emissary ship was destroyed.

The T'au fleet, laid out for a game of Battlefleet Gothic on a space board. There is an Emissary-class diplomatic vessel, supported by a range of renegades, mercenaries, and privateers.

On Turn 2, an Ork Kill Krooza orders All Ahead Full and lands directly in the middle of the enemy fleet, firing both broadsides. Despite doing considerable damage, the Emissary ship survives and the Ork ship overshoots the following turn.

Chased by Ram Ships and a Krooza, the Emissary ship closes on the board edge it needs to escape over...

But losing initiative at the last moment, the Orks go first and launch a ramming attack which destroys their target.
