I write for Warhammer Community, and I also do other things. All views my own, naturally.

Now that this place is gathering speed, it feels like time for proper intro.

I’m Luke, I write articles for Warhammer Community, and I paint a little too.

I’ve got a greyhound called Daisy, she’s daft. I also love music and manga.

Looking forward to meeting new folk on a chill new platform.

Super interested in it but I just don't think I have the mental strength to persist through this type of game!

I tried my best to like them but honestly hated everything about them. Lasted about a fortnight!

TODAY! The official release of VOIDSCARRED, my *counts* seventeenth novel, and my eleventh for Games Workshop. It's an honour to still be creating stories in a world I've been playing in for over thirty years, and thank you to everyone who's bought my books :)

Bonus tip: please don’t get your feet in photos.

I don’t know how this happens so often.

This is my setup - a piece of A4 paper glued to an empty water bottle in an airbrush booth.

The photo on the right is the result (shot via Adobe Lightroom on an iPhone 16.
A painted miniature on a curved piece of paper held up by a water bottling in a plastic airbrush booth. A painted plastic miniature of an Ogre carrying a cannonball

Two photography tips to mini painters

1. Put your mini on a curved bit of paper/card, and point your lamp at it. That’s all you need for a decent light box.

2. Videos with lots of zooms and pans only work if you’re filming in incredibly high definition. Please let me actually see your hard work!

They make good White Scars with a handful of changes... Infernal Brush made a very cool one out of the new Blood Claws!

Miniature of the Decade for Warhammer Age of Sigmar? I'm not biased...

It was a proper head-trip of a comic!

You can check out the posts on the account for yourself, they've been recruiting loads of hobby influencers to their affiliate program. If something fishy was going on it'd be clear to see by now.

Really enjoying Sakamoto Days. Typical shounen action pulp, but Suzuki’s an impressive draughtsman.

You could easily show certain characters and argue they’re from completely different manga, but it all coheres.

Very clear and stylish action too. Just loads to like.
