BAD NEWS for the fossil fuel industry, BRILLIANT news for the planet! 🌍

Renewables produced more electricity than coal for the first time on record in the first half of 2025. Line graph compares global generation in TWh from Jan-Jun of each year, from 2019 to 2025. Renewables has steadily increased and now overtaken coal in 2025.

The rules apply to any non-EU citizens not covered by free movement law, not just British citizens. All these possible penalties for overstay already exist.

Brexity folks are allowed to worship British border controls; but the EU is not supposed to enforce theirs against Brits.

Scotland generates huge amounts of cheap, clean electricity from renewables. That isn't reflected in our bills though, because the UK's energy system is rigged in favour of the corporations who control it, not the people who need it.

There are 0.11m jobs, and most of these are part time.

Scotland has a lower cancellation rate than every English region.

We must now invest in expanding the network, increasing capacity, and ensuring a reliable, affordable service is available for all. 🚆

Public ownership pays off. Cancellation rates 24/25. Scotland: 2%. England: 3.5%. Cancellation rates have been falling in Scotland since ScotRail was taken back into public ownership.

Every year 100s of employers are named and shamed for failure to pay the statutory minimum wage.

2016-2023: over 3m workers denied the minimum wage.

Puny fines do nothing. Fines must equal the remuneration of the board of directors. 50% personally payable. Imprison persistent offenders.

The government must ensure fair distribution of income
