He returned the smile with an even bigger one of his own. Lana always had that effect on him.

"Yeah, something like that. Thought I'd stop by where I can get the best coffee in town."

He glanced at the seat next to her. "You mind if I take a seat here?"

He smiled his signature toothy grin once he saw her curled up in a chair.

"Lana! Long time no see."

Clark decided to go to the Talon to get a coffee for himself. He didn't necessarily need the extra energy, but it was a good excuse to fit in. He liked the taste of it too, but he'd be lying if he said that was the only reason he was going to the Talon.
