Cops are quite often the only reason a mental health crisis escalates into violence. We've had good results here in Portland OR with Street Response but yeah, the cops hate having any of their authority usurped, even when they hate MH calls and suck at them.
They don't really "make" anything, but they're pretty good at stealing and bribing and non-compete clausing their way into getting what they want. I mean, all the way back to the DOS kernel days. Buncha goniffs.
To be fair, that's kinda me, except I'm downloading Firefox or Brave lol. I guess I'm just paranoid and don't want ALL my eggs in the same basket. Plus, the MS browsers basically suck, in my opinion.
I think that those of us who exclusively use open source software have an easier time of it--if you've paid big bucks for some app and are exclusively used to it I can see that being somewhat of a barrier to change.
True, but unlike those chuds I'm not interested in thought policing people. They can think any shitty thing they like, it's their right. I just believe in putting consequences out there for antisocial behavior, and I'm kinda sociopathic sometimes, hence the elaborately florid plan.
These nasty little shits need to be deported about ten miles off any coast and dropped via helicopter from a thousand feet up. With their boots on. Wearing meat suits.
Hey, I have this edition too! It's very pretty.
Measure it by GDP and California beats out all but four COUNTRIES. So yeah, "biggest" by a long shot.
Looks like the Emergency Naked Bike Ride Against ICE in Portland went swimmingly (apt, because it was bucketing down chill rain all day long but those maniacs showed up anyway!) Didn't hear of any arrests, guess they were too froggy for the weenie boys to handle!

I'm sure if they could read they'd be super pissed off!
That's really gonna piss off the Idahoans who come over to Ontario OR to hit the dispensaries and do their tax free shopping. Idaho is the reason why border towns in Oregon and Washington also have a disproportionate number of abortion clinics lol. Hypocrites.
Unipiper is a certified babe.
Sometimes his pipes spit fire, that's when it gets really fun!
Portland gained a lot of refugees post-Katrina and it shows! Our Cajun food game improved significantly too lol.
Yes, you're right, it would be so much better to fight back, bring guns, get into pitched battles and give the fascists a big excuse to send huge numbers of active duty troops to American cities--that will surely help the marginalized groups and stop ICE! Gosh, you fixed it, kudos.
And from a practical standpoint, an inflatable costume effectively masks the wearer and makes them very difficult to hurt--bop them with a nightstick and they're cushioned and where exactly are their knees? Wearers say they protect against tear gas too. Smartest tactic we've ever come up with!
What, you don't have a Spirit Hallowe'en shop on every block?
ICEholes blow off a LOT of random chemical mess--that's why the charter preschool next door had to pick up and move. Typical jackasses, they can make a mess but do they ever clean it up? Anyway, if you bring the kiddies, maybe stay back a bit.
You just know she has "Ilse, She-Wolf of the SS" running on a constant loop in her personal movie theater.
Gonna go out on a limb here and guess Magnus was bullied a bit as a child. Pure hunch, mind you.
Generally if you make the purchase with a credit card you're fairly well protected. And you really can't have too many Bluetooth speakers--unless you're out hiking then even one is too many! *peak Portland achieved*
They probably do most of their selling through Amazon, many Asian manufacturers have rudimentary websites because of this. Going through Amazon is an option but I totally understand if people don't want to pay the Bezos tax.
Yeah, it was timing out for me, but if the price point is right, the features look decent.
If you're not averse to paying the Bezos tax, I've had good results with Fulminare speakers, they're stout, some are waterproof and they don't break the budget. You wouldn't want to take anything really nice to a protest, so wattage and damage resistance are the key criteria after price.
Heck, a good shock and waterproof Bluetooth speaker would do a fairly good job, depending on ambient traffic noise.
