Yup. This is manufactured "disinterest". I also think this is a calculated move to force more Albertans to pay out of pocket at a pharmacy - normalizing privatization. Despicable.
Not a word of comms has gone out. I searched for news articles, govt website media releases - nothing. This is deliberate.

From this Canadian, thanks to all involved in 'No Kings.'
It isn't all about Pigmented Pinocchio, but rather that loathsome, self-entitled, stinking rich that think their billions will dictate the path for humanity & other biologics living on 🌎
'No Kings" is Pro Science, Pro Compassion, & Pro Earth.
Also, if folks feel comfortable doing this, consider asking for more than you need. There is a good chance many will not know about the preorder until it's too late. If we order extra, they won't be completely screwed.
Thank you for sharing this! A bunch of us have been trying to scream this from the rooftops - not one word of communication came out about this. This is deliberate and completely fucking evil. The UCP is made up of a lot of deeply shitty people.
Or the cost to diagnose and attempt to treat Long Covid? the amount of testing I went through to find out what the hell was going on with me had to have cost tens of thousands of dollars. When your internal organs have a massive inflammatory response, you get a lot of scans. 1 in 5 Canadians has LC.

Every public health expert - “We need to reduce barriers to entry for vaccines and increase availability!”

UCP - “So you’re saying we should open up a month and a half window to rebook vaccines for a year from now?”

Experts - *Sob uncontrollably*

somewhere in portland, there's one person, or a small handful of people, who came up with the inflatable costume idea, and I feel like they deserve our immense respect for defining the obvious developing aesthetic of the contemporary battle against fascism
I have a household full of neurodivergents and this seems like a really simple USABLE tool that might sort a few things out for us. Thanks for sharing.

As of August 2025, 150 Canadians, including children, were reported to have been held by ICE

The concern over conditions within these facilities, citing reports of limited access to safe drinking water, medical care, and legal assistance.

AI is deeply shitty. All aspects of it, from the stolen work it "learned" on to the outrageous environmental footprint. And for what? Results that are hugely flawed the majority of the time. And then there are the tech bros pushing it - pretty sure they don't have our best interests in mind.

Hi, I'm the ProPublica reporter who's been tracking an unusual stat: U.S. citizens grabbed by immigration agents.

I did it because the government isn’t.

This is what I found.
So weird to see Yankee Doodle Dani there when just yesterday she swore she had nothing to do with this.
Yes please! You write 'em, I'll read 'em! 📖
We have a wonderful writer here in Calgary whose talents run from documentary films to playwrighting. Cheryl Foggo has been instrumental in capturing the stories of Black ranchers and homesteaders in Canada - the next chapter for some of emancipation in the US.

It’s a strawberry jam 🎵

This postcard-sized still life by the Flemish artist Jan van Kessel the Elder is alive thanks to the talents and imagination of Adam Fitzer.

I keep hearing speculation that Jason Kenney and Doug Ford will throw their hat in the ring. Both would be disastrous. Kenney is the reason Alberta is in such a mess right now. Ford is the slickest grifter around. It's almost better to keep PP - at least he's not electable.
Heads up for Albertans who need to pre-order.
The UCP has sneakily posted a pre-order for 2026-27 that will close on Dec.15. The rat bastards have done zero communications about this and we need to get the word out.
Please share widely.

Critical minerals have long been touted as the key to the global energy transition because they’re used in everything from EV batteries to solar panels and wind turbines.

They’re also essential to the production of military equipment.

As a Canadian, it makes my blood boil that Banting's gift to the world was commodified and exploited like this. It's absolutely disgusting to see those prices. Banting would be rolling in his grave.
