Mostly posting this because I'm playing my first proper Superhuman game and just having three soldiers with Psi-training was enough to almost completely lockdown a Muton Base Invasion. Literally took out half of them on turn one with their own blaster launchers and they just panicked

This should probably apply to the Blaster Launcher, too, like sometimes it's a drone swarm that can pick off your guys if they're too spread out to give proper reaction fire or a sniper rifle that passes through walls so you have to use smoke or similar

Playing X-Com and just thinking how it's weird that the Psionics stuff is an expected part of the series, when it feels more like it should be a midgame crisis that's different for each save, like sometimes it's teleportation or the ability to walk through walls, to keep it from being a known factor

This week's game is Zombie Incident, a MSX platformer with a 3DS remake that only uses one button, but adds nonlinearity and RPG-esque wrinkles to spice things up. Said wrinkles don't stop repetition from kicking in eventually, but the ideas sure are neat!

X-Com going well. Superhuman, with absolute clown car UFOs with 20+ dudes. Got Psi-screening going, some trained guys who can mind control Ethereals, let some Floaters set up a base I can farm for endgame research and cash and don't check that screenshot
