They see a man speak of feminism (in a way) and idolize him, but if a woman speaks of feminism (in a similar but different way) she's deserving of a witch hunt.

Nevermind that he's torturing himself and has realized that he is a bad person who abandoned his wife in her time of need, and nevermind the fact that he's incredibly self-aware that he is deserving of the hell he's put himself into and welcomes the punishment.

Unfortunately I think it's because they idealize James and want to *be* him, which is where the media illiteracy you mention comes in. They see a man defeating monsters and trying to "save the girl," and without any insight or self-reflection decide that he's to be admired.

I don't get it... pyramid head, probably the monster most famous from the series, is a literal manifestation of James' guilt toward HIS WIFE for how he treated her. Every single thing about the game is revolved around how he treats women and wants to be punished for it.

This is honestly a problem younger artists have more, but there's a weird elitist attitude comic-makers get toward anyone newer to the scene when they've 'worked in the business before' that's baffling to me. They seem to like the mentality that because they struggled, everyone else should. 😬

Would it be possible to get lenses at your prescription and embed them into the mask? I know contacts can be quite the hassle and not everyone likes wearing them, so maybe there's an alternative to them if you can afford it.

Forbidding it outright will NOT keep people from posting it, they will simply no longer tag it. By having rules in place that allow you to post such content and having it tagged, you are protecting far more people than trying to force people to never post about it at all.

A shadowy hand reaches out towards a golden string but as He takes it all the threads around him turn bright red. The words "Sometimes, it can be confusing..." hang in the air as he is embraced from behind by a woman we don't recognize.

Slowly the red fades into black and white and the threads return to their usual red and blue. The Oracle looks despondently at his bloodied hands. Someone reaches out to clasp their hands over the backs of his. "...not knowing whether this is the beginning..."

An older woman we don't recognize kisses the back of the Oracle's bloody hand, and by the second panel is gone. The Oracle looks out beyond a bunch of red strings, looking even more upset at a shadow of a woman facing away from him. "...or the end. I want... No... ... I need to save you."
