People are finally starting to notice their convoluted, pretzeling legal mechanations trying to substantiate their bullshit partisan conclusions. I don't expect the Roberts Court even has the capability to read the national "room" at this point. ACB's disingenuous commentary presages coming idiocy.

Their opinions are poorly written, when they even bother. Their rationales fail to hide their overt partisan bias even when ways of doing so are available. Their oral arguments are cringe-inducing. They might seem sober adults compared to the freak show in the White House, but only by that low bar.

The other piece to this is when more and more judges enter well reasoned orders based on settled law and constitutionally sound reasons and bases, it becomes harder for compromised judges to wrap themselves in specious, pandering legal reasoning. SCOTUS is finally starting to be questioned generally

I don’t just get a “sense” that there are meetings amongst the GOP. They all hype each other up behind the scenes (and leak to reporters about how they’re going to stand up to Trump), and then they fold like lawn chairs
