they don't envision or are completely ignorant of how the creative process itself is the reward, because of the flow state, because of experiencing the buzzing meditative energy channeled in what you're doing and being of the world around you in the moment is what makes all the grind worth it

and it's true, there's a lot of hard labor and challenges with being studied in creativity. doing art isn't easy. it's infamously hard, even. so hard that the only rewards people can imagine out of creativity is the results -- something to share, something to sell, something to be known for

i saw a lightbulb go off in her face after I gave a name to it and something recognizable.

i realized then normies don't realize creativity has a flow state and that's the process. they can associate creativity with play, sure, but to be skilled is effort, work, the grind, all hard stuff

in a session with my therapist, she was commenting how she can't draw a stick figure -- then recalled a time when she could envision exactly what she wanted and it came out easily on the canvas. and she had no idea how she did it.

I was like, yeah, the flow state. you know, like athletes and gamers
