Tasmania is just amazing isn't it :) We climbed up Cradle Mountain (obviously in fog, cleared when we got down). Such a beautiful island.

Bit more cheese…

Courtesy of Find Chaffy (not on here).
Cartoon strip with the four stages of eating cheese at Christmas. Eating cheee, still eating cheese, ate too much cheese, bit more cheese…

Love it! Between Hvalnes and Djúpivogur I presume?

Haha yes my trips are generally about 10 days and I’m usually glad to return to less “unsettled” weather. But the stormy days are fun to experience :)

You’d think that videos from a 2-year-old phone with a half-decent video would be uploadable on social media sites without me having to do anything. I google it and get a bunch of people giving code to put somewhere - arrggh!

As what lovely memories! We discovered the Dolomites last summer and returned again this year - what a stunning place. We went to southern Germany on family holidays when I was a child (a place called Lenggries) - pre-cocker spaniel days!

Do you have any pics? Yes dogs are certainly a bit of a tie! I’ve been fortunate to have parents nearby who are his second home in times of holidays and emergencies, and the ability to work from home has helped enormously too!

They are the most beautiful lovely dogs ever :)

One day I’ll figure out how to upload a video here from my iPhone15Pro without the quality instantly going to sh*t!

Many thanks Marjo! And you too :)

It’s actually a lagoon - rarely see it choppy but when it’s windy enough…

Just been looking through my itunes (basically from the hundreds of CDs I bought over the years - I still do occasionally) and there are so, so many! Thank you for reminding me of some awesome (and not so awesome) tunes :)

Thanks Marjo - it was :)

Sing (Blur) - 9/10
Sing (Travis) - 8/10

The Blur one is just playing in the bar I’m in - I remember it from the Trainspotting CD. It’s awesome!

Total 17

I have to disagree - FGTH version is definitely a 10/10 :)

Thanks Martin! Hope for some decent storms in three weeks’ time when I return.

Isn’t it’ Having had leaking pipes this week I’m glad to be safely uphill from the canal though!

Lovely! Looks like the Grand Union Canal near us in Hertfordshire :)

It was just extremely strong winds (I guess some rain too). No snow on that occasion. Snow storms in Iceland often seem to come with big anvils (cumulonimbus I think). This one morphed into some crazy shapes too.

No, it is not a terrible view :)

The weekend starts here!

Some of the craziest skies I've ever seen - two years ago over Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon.

#Iceland
Mad stormy purpley/grey skies over a glacial lagoon which has some black water at the front and turquoise water beyond, and has a few turquoise icebergs floating. In the distance you can see some dark mountains and the glacier itself is just visible. There is an ara of brightness on the horizon beneath the storm clouds.
