I like this phrasing. Even though it’s a new concept to me, it makes a lot of sense. Emotions do come and go like waves or weather. There’s no need to attach ourselves to them!

Person who just accidentally had a ✨ super restorative✨two hour nap

To explain this selfie, my landlady has large mirrors in her garden, which I think is really cool, this one has been set out to the side temporarily as the renovating part of the garden, this is me taking a selfie crouched down with the mirror in the evening twilight. I’m wearing one of my new thrifted sweaters or jumpers, this ones got a tall collar and it’s made of cotton and hemp!

I hear you, that’s what my twenties were about! I had dozens of jobs, 2 hours to 2 years in length.

What’s a difficult in this moment is I love being a financial writer & journalist. Excited to wake up in the morning & I genuinely enjoy it. But the accompanying hustle is not viable for me anymore.

A 3rd giant financial outlet I write (wrote?) for laid off half of it’s marketing department this week. The writing is on the wall..

I have to nail this interview Tuesday for the admin assistant job and figure out how to work outside of my home for the first time in 6 years without burning out.

Did wayyy too much yesterday (massively overstimulated and nonverbal by the end of it). So, noted; don’t overbook next time. But I still had a great day! Made a wind chime craft at the library, did a huge gardening cleanup, intense & cathartic therapy session, and nice witches tea with friends. 🔔 ✨

It’s not a great picture, but you get the idea, it’s a branch and hanging off from the branch or pieces of twine and different size pieces of silk ribbons in Avery and rust, and then there are rust, color, beads, and hard to see, but there’s actually a brass old pet tag, and then a brass key, and you can hang it on the wall or porch or whatever, it’s held against the background of a bush outside the library

This was my kitchen yesterday evening before I left for the witches tea! Completely chock full of garden vegetables and plants scattered around with the evening sunlight streaming in. I’m very grateful!

This is the venue, before a bunch of other people started showing up, it’s an old 176 year-old church that’s been converted into a coffee shop with a bookstore. I sat in the loft at a table for three with my friends, there’s a beautiful hanging lights. There’s a warm cozy atmosphere and you can see a few little witches starting together around in their fantastic costumes/outfits.

Gratuitous Little selfie here, I just loved this book nook up in the balcony, with the bookcase full of books and the lamp and the high back chair, so this is just me sitting there with one of the books I found to purchase in my lap, crossing my legs and hands and just smiling at the end of a very long day

All done, whew! Lots of peppers, some beets were ready & the rest of the squashes. All three of the peppers and my tender perennials have been potted up. I’ll try to find places inside for them. Land folk may let me use their basement? Still have to move the pond plants & dig up the elephant ear. 🌱

I’m pretty tired so the alt text is gonna be minimal. This is me holding a pepper plant that has had most of its tender branches and leaves chopped off of it. This is how you overwinter them.

Morning, everyone. It frosted last night! I was not prepared. 🥲 After the sun comes out, I’ll go around and pick all the veggies & pull up the pepper plants, pot, and store them inside. Whew! Busy little day ahead, but all fun things. Hope everyone takes time to be good to themselves today. ❄️ ☀️
