Done! I finally made the detachable hood with scarf idea I’ve dreaming of since this cold weather started. It is a vintage red floral corduroy with a soft twill lining and 100% cotton batting. It is super warm and even a bit noise muffling too! My dexterity spoons are gone, but I’m very happy. ✂️

I have many fears for this timeline. So much is terrifying. I wish I could help more. I wish I could leave this country. I wish I could move somewhere so remote and off grid that I could primal scream and not scare anyone. I wish I didn’t understand what’s happening.

I just realized one of my autistic joys: since I live alone, when I hear something interesting or that I like on TV, I can immediately repeat it like a little parrot, echolalia-style, and not bother anyone 😌

Hey #knitting and #sewing community. I picked up this merino wool mobius cowl in summer, and while I love it, it’s too short to double up, and too long to cover my neck. I’d like to turn it into a kind of detachable (maybe lined) hood. Is this doable? How do I do this w/o unraveling the knitting?

I was watching a mini doc about hoodoo or “rootwork“ of New Orleans, and it reminded me that I still need needed to make the calendula oil for my hands, because unfortunately, the eczema came back. This was fun and easy: thoroughly dried calendula flowerheads, grapeseed oil & fermentation weight.

Today I will meet with my therapist for the last time before I see my new one next month. I will also have a 30 day check-in with my prescriber after doubling my medicine. I am not often at a loss for words, but because of time constraints, I don’t even know how to share everything that’s happened.

I need to name this catbird. Any ideas?He’s the one who dances on the PTAC unit under my bedroom window every morning, interpretive dances at this window in afternoons, and likes to sit in this tree and sun, then eat the red berries all while staring at me disapprovingly. Funny bird.
