You are still here. Your hope not yet extinct even though shadows loom. You are a jar of last summers jam left in the pantry. Treasure from a warm day when your fingers were strawberry pink, bare feet in mint green grass. The clouds telling stories across the blue.

The stuff that keeps me from connecting is not going places because of my dog. I’m working on it!

I asked my therapist if I should try not wearing a mask in public places, and they were like: does it keep you from connecting with people? And I’m like: huh, no! So that was refreshing

At the store earlier, we saw 7-8 people wearing masks in addition to ourselves.
A woman (not masked): it must be that time of the year with people getting sick
Me: we never stopped wearing ours [shrug]
Her: I wish I never stopped because we keep getting sick!
Me: you can start back up anytime!

I literally just booked the dog sitter when my friend asked if we can change times. I’m trying not to let my dog situation impact my social life but it’s not as easy as it sounds 😅

The problem is that I have safety issues. I don’t even leave my house that often. I’m scared of flying. But I think I could do it. Is this hubris? Probably

Okay. I like living here. But I’m hitting my “lines drawn in the sand” point, which have already shifted from what I thought my lines would be. But sending the military into Minneapolis? Yeah, no.

When we say “Trans rights are human rights”, we mean just that: trans people deserve to be able to enjoy the freedoms and ability to make a joyful life. Just like we all should. Any person who is anti-trans has a terribly arbitrary view of who deserves rights, and thus cannot be trusted.
I can't trust politicians who are anti-trans. Not because I'm "only searching for perfection" which is what centrists will be accusing me of for the rest of my life, it's because if you're not pro-trans you'll be garbage on lots of other issues too. Being anti-trans NEVER exists in a vacuum.
