Greetings. I'm a 30+ year veteran of the games industry. I've made Lots of my own original IP like TY the Tasmanian Tiger and Blade Kitten. As well as directing some smaller lesser known IP like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed :D

I like to design characters and make comics in my "spare" time.

RIP the legendary Drew Struzan (1947-2025) 😩

Even though we were expecting the news any day now, it makes me very sad. What an artist.

No, there were VERY different plans, things changed drastically after the success of the first game. But that's about all I can say :) I will say it was actually way more interesting an idea than what became 2.

Yeah, he was always referred to as "Vader's secret apprentice" during dev.

I directed the PS2/PSP/Wii versions.

The Starkiller design wasn't finalized at that point, so we were using Kota as the player character while the internal team worked it out. He didn't even get the name Starkiller until way later. LucasArts were excited that they got the go-ahead to use the name.

Yeah, I did this back in 2006 when I was making Force Unleashed. Def pre Disney and even pre CG clone Wars. (Our studio made the games for that too)

Had a bit of a setback last week when an update broke my Gunwale project pretty badly. My bad for using beta releases. I know better but still fucked up. New beta today fixed the issues and I've taken that as a good point to fix up some other issues of my own creation :)

All back to good now.

Went to use my electric kettle on the weekend and found it starting to fall apart and look a little gross inside. I got a new one coming today. I always go for the clear glass ones now, after pouring out bug bits that one time years ago.

I still have my Art of Star Wars that Carol Titelman edited from the late 70s. Fantastic book. It was a hugely formative volume for this particular artist-to-be.

Gateway drug art book. 😁

What I was up to 30 years ago...

Back in the day each issue would take 2-3 months to show up in Australia because the shipping was by actual ships.

Not so bad though because most movies and TV shows took 6 months to a year to get shown on our shores.

It's your regularly scheduled dump of me designing lots of characters. Pretty confident they're all looking diverse yet part of the same world. I think I do a pretty good job of not having same face syndrome.

Red Snow Fox

New winter look just dropped.

Nancy's snow gear for the next comic. I've been thinking about variations of this for a few years now and I finally had a silhouette that clicked in my head, so I drew it today.

Très mignon.

I saw this and I thought, "I know that building! I think it's in West End somewhere. A bit of geohunting in Google Street View and I found it! 😁

Brain, you remember the weirdest shit.

I've been moving stuff around the house today, and in between, I was playing around with some sprites because it was too hot to draw the comic.

So Nancy and Roger from the Crinoline Crime Club.

I really do love the look of this style of sprite for a game. I hope I'm around long enough to make something with this look.

Found this old Crinoline Crime Club test sprite while looking for something else. I wish I had the time and energy to make every cool project idea I have... and finish them.

But that is not the case.

Pulled the hard drives out of my old PC box for parts but I was short a drive. No sign of the SSD for the C drive. Had to look a couple of times everywhere to be sure.

Then I saw it was a tiny NVME drive on the motherboard. I feel like such an idiot.

I don't think NCC-90210 is for me but I hope it finds the audience it's looking for. I'll give it a few episodes to see what it's like.

Ah, October in Brisbane, where not quite Summer quickly transitions into very much Summer.

I thought I'd lost some old photos but one of the 101 USB hard drives came to the rescue.

Now they're going straight to the pool room. (I should have named the NAS that😊)

It's for a piggy-back extension lead, but now I really want a porcine home helper.
