Sharing a missed story in Hope's notes about her @forlightanddice.bsky.social co-podcaster @squirex2.bsky.social:
If you're up to date with For Light and Dice, you know that the crew is currently on Batuu. When Colton, Chris, and I were at Galaxy's Edge, Chris was showing up where all the different moments the game had taken place. We walked in, and they have the "woods" and greenery where they are projecting animal noises. Chris stopped and explained that those are the sounds were were hearing when the Squonk crew went out into the wilderness.
We had come back to Batuu that night. Passing by the same place, I stopped and went, "Whoa! There are more noises and it's so much louder!" Chris was just smiling knowingly. Another thing was when we were waiting outside of Oga's Cantina, which is the inspired cantina in the game. So Chris was motioning, "Here is where the gambling tables where. This is where you all met [redacted for people behind on episode]." Then there was one more part from Galaxy's Edge I took footage of, which I'll share shortly in an episode or two
It was just super cool as a player to see Chris' inspiration as a GM as well as see and hear the real life inspirations for FLAD. That was incredible for me.

It’s good to know that it was Tylenol. I always assumed it was the copious amounts of cocaine my Mom did while she was pregnant, but thank god for pseudo-science.

This pathetic factotum is bathing himself in the fetid attention he gets from the media, especially from water-carrying “podcasters.” His flaccid posturing would be sad if it were not quite so obviously venal www.politico.com/news/2025/09...

And Iger should be on stage with him to send a message that the Walt Disney Company still values fundamental American principles.

Kimmel should say why we he damn well thinks he should say. And stuck to his guns. And demand the support of execs.

Seeing a lot of reaction posts out there saying Jimmy Kimmel was fired, but no, he wasn’t.

The following is a statement from the WGA on ABC’s decision to pull ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’
WGA Statement on ABC's Decision to Pull ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’
The right to speak our minds and to disagree with each other - to disturb, even - is at the very heart of what it means to be a free people. It is not to be denied. Not by violence, not by the abuse of governmental power, nor by acts of corporate cowardice.
As a Guild, we stand united in opposition to anyone who uses their power and influence to silence the voices of writers, or anyone who speaks in dissent. If free speech applied only to ideas we like, we needn't have bothered to write it into the Constitution. What we have signed on to - painful as it may be at times - is the freeing agreement to disagree.
Shame on those in government who forget this founding truth. As for our employers, our words have made you rich.
Silencing us impoverishes the whole world.
The WGA stands with Jimmy Kimmel and his writers.

Silly Jimmy Kimmel. He should have just called for all homeless people to be killed and he’d still have a job.

“PrOtEcT fReE sPeEcH!”

Such outrage over what’s, in truth, a rather milk-toast statement of fact about what’s actually happening—and far milder than anything said by those he referenced.

But once again, it’s never what fascists say, but what they do that matters.
