We only know because he was trying to avoid sanctions on a super yacht and had someone else own it.

US needs to do the same. Instead doing terrible things to people who really are trying to do everything right, subsidizing the entire agricultural industry in the process.
In the meantime, it seems Russians are somehow getting Trusted Traveler passes and walking in and out of US mil bases.
