Under a Thousand Gazes captures the crushing solitude of being perpetually observed — not by others alone, but by the inner chorus of judgment and doubt. A lone, hunched figure folds inward beneath a wall of eyes that seem to watch, accuse, and remember. The palette of burning reds and bruised blues evokes both exposure and shame, creating a tense interplay between vulnerability and scrutiny. Each eye is a reflection of insecurity, multiplying until the self can no longer bear its own reflection.

Here is a macro photo I took of our last bi-color snapdragon in the front garden. The day was beautifully grey and rainy. Though there was no chance of seeing a tropical sunset, this flower held the might of dusk's glory in its misty face. This scoop of autumn sherbert glows against green peeps of background bokeh. Bending in for a closer look with my camera, I became enchanted by the perfect spheres scattered across its pink-red-orange-yellow petals. Within each crystal ball raindrop, a small universe of color and light. Their augury? My new 3-5-3 haiku:
