⚠️Weingarten Rights

📍What They Are
➡️Weingarten Rights give workers the right to have a union representative present during any meeting with management that could lead to discipline.

📍When They Apply
➡️These rights apply during things like investigatory interviews, which are meetings where management asks questions that could result in disciplinary action.

📍Worker’s Role
➡️The worker must ask for a union rep. Saying "I want my union rep present" activates Weingarten protections.

📍Union Rep’s Role
➡️The rep can observe, clarify questions, and assist but cannot answer for the worker. Their job is to support the member and ensure a fair process.

📍Management Limitations
➡️If management refuses a union rep, the worker has the right to stop the meeting until one is present.
Management cannot discipline the worker for insisting on representation.
