Disappointed & "worried" that 3 reviewers & 2 editors of leading journal in the field of child development did not read the statistical approach section & assumed we had typos in reporting pages-long results in an extensive study! The plea for bayesian statistics & sound models fails here! #REJECTED

I have a cat phobia! 70% of online meetings involve a cat running on the other side of the screen
& the other person being proud & delighted about their companion. In I need to use full capacity energy to inhibit fear & concentrate! I'm getting huge spiders for my next meetings! Revenge mode on!

Access to the full work: repository.ubn.ru.nl/bitstream/ha.... You will also find me at ICIS24 in Glasgow, discussing findings, applications and methodological considerations on facial EMG in young populations.

Following a computerized task involving peer ostracism, we observed that 5yo securely, but not insecurely attached, employed facial mimicry as a strategy to restore affiliation wth peers. This highlights their adeptness at employing optimal interpersonal strategies in adverse social situations.
stefaniavictoria.bsky.social
Early Attachment & Intrinsic Affiliation Motivation, examined through facial EMG: children's mimicry is influenced by their early attachment styles-> 3yo wth resistant attachment display heightened mimicry of SAD expressions. Interestingly, cognitive control did not influence these responses.

To affiliate or not to affiliate-> check out a set of peer-reviewed studies from my PhD. dissertation on insights into early attachment contribution and underlying cognitive architecture! An illustration of the 4 studies at the basis of this inquiry. Below a glimpse into 2 main findings:
