Also absurdly ironic that you want someone with mental health issues to depart from your public perspective for offending you with their performance, but you want to whine about censorship.
stephenburtch.bsky.social
Nobody is censoring you or trying to control you.

People are drawing conclusions from the words you are using that are frankly entirely valid.

Words being in common use doesn't mean they are inoffensive. Insults and epithets are common and descriptive.

You obviously don't have to take advice.
stephenburtch.bsky.social
Holy shit man.

You are coming across as a psychopath.

Within three postings you have belittled a person with well reported mental health issues, refused to accept that your bigoted comment was insulting, and told a person to set themselves on fire.

Log off.
stephenburtch.bsky.social
The fact you refuse to believe the term "head case" is harsh is beyond idiotic.

It is quite literally a derisive reference to those with mental health issues, and is quite clearly intended as an insult.

You are being a bigot and it offends people and your absence of shame is telling.

"Democrat led"

The Republicans currently control the Presidency, Congress, Senate and the Judiciary.

The Republicans are doing a bang up job of convincing morons that despite winning everything they remain the victims of tyranny.

HHS spokesperson A. Nixon on Saturday referred POLITICO to the department’s Friday night statement saying the firings were “a direct consequence of the Democrat-led government shutdown,” adding that the layoffs were necessary because the department was too “bloated”under the Biden administration.
HHS rehiring some people fired through reduction-in-force efforts
A Trump administration legal document said HHS initially targeted 1,000 to 1,200 employees for dismissal, and people speaking with POLITICO say the firings focused on the CDC.

Driving without a proper license or insurance is illegal, but also VERY easy to do.

Just because laws exist doesn't mean people can't break them really easily.

This shouldn't be confusing to people.
stephenburtch.bsky.social
If doing everything legally was the *easy* and *default* option, far fewer people would break the law.

Unfortunately in MANY scenarios, the legal process is vastly more complex and difficult than the illegal option.
stephenburtch.bsky.social
There are apparently people who conflate legality with difficulty.

Their logic is apparently that illegal things should be the most difficult, while legal things should be the easiest.

These people should perhaps consider tax laws:

Not filing taxes = super easy
Filing taxes properly = not easy
stephenburtch.bsky.social
Murder is also very *EASY* to *DO*.

Doesn't make it any less illegal.

How easily crimes are committed doesn't have anything to do with their legality.

Good luck with your plan though.

If you adjust for inflation just to make the comparison accurate, "Tron: Ares" made $22.55M in 2010 USD... Roughly half of what "Tron: Legacy" brought in.

Disney’s sci-fi sequel “Tron: Ares” opened to a disappointing $33.5 million this weekend, falling short of projections of $45 million to $50 million.

For comparison, 2010’s “Tron: Legacy” debuted to $44 million (not adjusted for inflation).

I know people are already panicking about the Leafs 5v5 performance so far... After... *2 games*...

They sit at 40% 5v5 xGF which is bad.

But...

Tampa sits at 33.7%.

Winnipeg sits at 38.7%

Detroit and Anaheim sit at 61%.

People need to *RELAX*.

It's been TWO GAMES.

This is Kevin Gausman, Blue Jays Ace, teaching his daughters how to ride bikes at the Evergreen Brickworks farmers market the day before the biggest start of his life. Everybody knew who he was. Nobody bothered him. Watch out Mariners. He looks happy and loose.

I assume Scherzer gets a start, Bassitt is a long relief guy like Lauer.
stephenburtch.bsky.social
The Dems have been playing a completely different game with a different set of rules for roughly 45 years now.

Reaganism is when it fairly clearly shifted IMO.

Ever since then they have been retreating/adopting and co-opting GOP language/ideas for political expedience (selling out).
stephenburtch.bsky.social
Gross.

We can't lose the *only* MLB team that has never won a league pennant and played in a World Series.

That would upend all of history and confirm we are living in a simulation (again).
stephenburtch.bsky.social
There is a massive irony in Christians (or people of any religious faith) failing to accept the plausibility of a grass roots movement upending the established power structure when that is literally how *every* major religion pops onto the scene.

LoL... Privately?

Pretty clear they have been doing so publicly for a long time.

"Sceptics are privately - and some now publicly - asking whether the rapid rise in the value of AI tech companies may be, at least in part, the result of what they call 'financial engineering'. In other words - there are fears these companies are overvalued."

thiel, man, what the fuck are you talking about

He describes the plot of Watchmen, a 1986 graphic novel involving superheroes grappling with moral questions about humanity against the backdrop of impending nuclear war:

The antihero Ozymandias, the antichrist-type figure, is sort of an early-modern person. He believes this will be a timeless and eternal solution – eternal world peace. Moore is sort of a late-modern. In early modernity, you have ideal solutions, ‘perfect’ solutions to calculus. In late modernity, things are sort of probabilistic. And at some point, he asks Dr Manhattan whether the world government is going to last. And he says that ‘nothing lasts forever.’ So you embrace the antichrist and it still doesn’t work.

Thiel later finds biblical meaning in the manga One Piece, discussing how he believes it represents a future where an antichrist-like one-world government has repressed science. He believes that the hero, Monkey D Luffy, represents a Christlike figure.

In One Piece, you are set in a fantasy world, again sort of an alternate earth, but it’s 800 years into the reign of this one-world state. Which, as the story unfolds, gradually gets darker and darker. You sort of realize, in my interpretation, who runs the world and it’s something like the antichrist. There’s Luffy, a pirate who wears a red straw hat, sort of like Christ’s crown of thorns. And then towards the end of the story, transforms into a figure who resembles Christ in Revelation.

Thiel, along with a researcher and writer at Thiel Capital, explored these ideas at greater length in an essay for the religious journal First Things earlier this month.

I'm just one person, and my programming needs are somewhat unusual (building various kinds of statistical forecasting models). But I'm just not seeing the consistent productivity gains from LLMs that I would have expected if you'd asked me 6 months ago.

You really do notice how slow Rielly is making decisions on the PP (relative to the other guys on the unit) when you focus on him.
stephenburtch.bsky.social
Yep. This is getting worse.

Just ugly.
