Good lord, I just tried scrolling through the Nextfest games list, and after half an hour of scrolling I didn't even get to the end of it. There's so much stuff now!

But yeah, it's definitely not a spit-and-polish job, they've definitely gone right back to the foundations and rebuilt a lot of the game from the ground up. It's now finally the game I wanted to play in the beginning.

I mean, a lot of their fixes were basically "Just copy Mario Odyssey" to an almost embarrassing degree, but I fucking love Mario Odyssey so I'll heartily allow it.

Man, the Yooka-Laylee remake is absolutely not what I expected. It's taken a game that I didn't really care for at all and turned it into something I had to tear myself away from. Really excellent work!

I've been using PCem for all my Win95/98 needs. Also a huge fan of how it's such an accurate emulator you have do go through the whole process of setting the BIOS, going through the POST screens, and installing stuff from disk images. Wonderful nostalgia trip!
